Was she laughing at him? O______O ?? What. But he didn't even do anything stupid yet!! ...? Raising a confused eyebrow he questioned the laughter without really questioning it outloud, y'know?

The Gryffindor shook his head, he wasn't "down". He was only just thinking. Thinking about why Beautiful Bentley was no where to be found! Where was she gone to? And was she going to come back before the speech? AJ was right the speech was coming soon and that meant food! Would Professor Beautiful Bentley miss the FOOD!?! "I'm not down," he totally wasn't. He just wasn't as happy as she always seemed to be. He was just worried. Worried for his Beautiful Bentley. That's all. Then at AJ's little explanation as to why she was so happy, he tilted his head. "Are you ever in a bad mood?" Because he wouldn't believe it until he saw it.

Watching the girl take a seat, Zander grinned a little. At least he wasn't boring everyone to sleep with the story of his summer. It would have been much more interesting had he been allowed to go to Greece. Ahem. But again, no hard feelings. Sort of. "Well CB is the one that convinced me to do them," he started, there was even a little pink rising up in his cheeks, but hopefully she wouldn't notice that. "So I went to that shop... The one in Diagon Alley... Weasles Wizarding Pranks or something like that." What was it called? Obviously it was his first time in that place, but hopefully it wouldn't be the last because there was so much stuff in there! He only bought a few things because he was saving most of his money for chocolate frogs, but he still got a couple of fun things and had a bit left over too! Maybe he'd give them to Kevin.

Anyways, "I used some dung bombs and this girl Abbi told me about weird beards so I used those once too and then there was this one thing that I put into their drinks to make them burp a lot, but I don't remember what those are called." All in all, it was actually pretty fun being the one pulling the pranks for once. His brother's deserved them too. Then the Gryffindor listened to AJ, who didn't really share too much about her summer other than the sun, which he didn't mind because SUN. "I'd do anything to keep it this warm all year," he admitted. Could they skip winter this year actually because he wasn't really sure how he'd end up reacting to the snow. Being stuck inside for a whole school year was more than enough to scar a kid, y'know? "Did you do anything interesting?" she had said it was fun after all. And then the pet thing, that kind of made him sad. See the whole not being old enough thing was a huge factor, but it was also because he had been planning making a trip with CB so that she could help him, except that didn't really happen. And he didn't want to pick one out without her! "I know," he agreed disappointedly. "Cinna said that I could do a shared custody thing with her cat though, so I guess I have half a pet for now?"

He did manage to pull a few pranks that he picked up at that shop in Diagon Alley, what was it called again? But that was hardly anything Lex would see as eventful. And he went to Diagon Alley all by himself a few times!! But other than that, nope. So a shake of the head would suffice. "Oh, what did you do this summer then?" Besides that field trip. She did go on it right?! Because how come every old person got to go, but he couldn't!! He was already fourteen! That was super old too. He could do Greece, he could really!! But ahem, he wasn't going to think about that this again. Because right. Anyways. Big boom? Looking around, he leaned in close and raised a brow, "How would I do that?" Because if she was referring to Kevin's exploding potion and the big-boom-feast, then she'd be glad ~~or disappointed~~ to know that their plans last term didn't go as planed. Sigh.

So wait, she really was headgirl then!? Zander was friends ~~were they friends?~~ with THE headgirl. Woah. That was like SUPER COOL, but Kevin probably thought that it was the worst thing ever and for some reason this thought made him chuckle a bit. "Does that mean you're going to yell at us more now?" and was this when he was supposed to wish her congratulations and stuff? "And congrats on the... the promotion?." Every since the whole saving the bed thing. She was totally a good person to be in charge.

So instead of listening to a word that was being said, he just leaned forward towards Mackenzie with a smile on his face. "Hi," Hopefully she was feeling better than she looked last time he saw her. And he wouldn't bring any of that other stuff up because he was going to be respectful and stuff. It was obvious that speaking about her family brought up weird things for the girl. And he didn't want any crying. Not twice in one day. Especially when it came from girls.

Anyways he seemed to have jump into the speech a little late, but he got all that important stuff. The stuff about Gryffindor being strong and not just a house and the cup and beating Slytherin or something. Which they would do. AGAIN. Ahem. He didn't quite feel the need to roar along, but the Gryffindor did raise his goblet into the air, isn't that what people did at weddings and stuff? After speeches? Either way he really wanted an excuse to take a huge sip of his pumpkin juice.
