It was a good thing though, because he was sure that NO ONE, not even nutso Agatha would be insane enough to start smashing metal plates against human heads in front of Bellaire. “Good evening, Professor. I trust you had a good summer?” Ethan grinned, COMPLETELY ignoring Hapgood, who by the way, he saw LIMPING. Interesting, and funny, but he was in no mood whatsoever to ask. He’d go make fun of her when the time is right. Muehehehe!
Well well well, Mr. Mourdant was most certainly stepping into his prefect role with no problem. Not that she would have expected him to have any issues with that. He seemed the type to have that underlying layer of bossy. Why not refine it with a prefect badge?
Politeness. Professor Bellaire approved of this. "Hey Professor".."Sup Professor" just did not sit well with the woman.
"Good evening to you too Mr. Mourdant. My summer was good. I trust yours was also." He was alive, well and bossy." So that obviously meant his summer was good.

Sophia's eyes ventured to the little mouse thing under the table. Why did they have a student under the table? Her eyes flashed to Ethan, then back to the child who her eyes met with when she looked at her.
Yes those raised eyebrows and this face was saying, up from under the table little one..sit tall, sit with pride!

One of the hugger trio. She was not surprised that he was also under the table, but he was at least twelve years old now right? There was to be no fort under the table and no hiding under the table. This was his second year. He ought not to be intimidated by anything at Hogwarts anymore. Unless he was keeping the little mouse company, instead of helping her to assimilate. He got eyes as well.

Whenever a student looked at her, Professor Bellaire DID NOT break eye contact and if they couldn't hold her gaze and acknowledge her then they were weak. And if they were maybe they'd need to send the sorting hat to a hatter to get it sorted. Merlin knew that thing needed servicing.

Sophia watched as the new prefect walked along the Slytherin table looking assertive. Well certainly that was the way to do it. You earn the respect, you made sure people say something to respect, and one did not get that by acting like a loon.
"I did, I trust you did as well." There was a hint of a smile. "
Well deserved Miss Wayne." Quote:

Yes, they were in friendly terms, alright. Family friends and all. With a professor. Agatha was THIS cool, hah.
"Uncle Orsy is fine, thank you for asking, professor." The ballerina answered with a polite smile. "Actually, he just sold my grandparents' coffee farm to some magical creature sanctuary group." Or... something. "He's moving to London to find a job there!" Good, huh?? Her uncle was coming back to the UK for good! That would've made Agatha happier if she didn't spend the entire year at Hogwarts. "I bet he'll find a good job really fast, because he's really good at... working." And things in general. Her uncle was also amazing, like professor Bellaire. See the pattern here? Agatha was surrounded by brilliant adults, which meant she was brilliant herself.
Sophia listened intently. She was mostly curious about how Orsino was doing, given that she had kind of grown fond of the oversize man. Too bad he had to leave so soon.
"Well I'm sure selling the farm was for the best. Send my best wishes to him and tell him to keep in touch. Okay?"

HOLD THE FREAKING PHONE.
"PREFECT? You're a PREFECT?! DUUUUUUDE!" FREAKING YEEEEES! HIGH FIVE, MAN. This was the BEST news he had received ALL day. "Congrats, mate! Can't think of anyone better to get that." And did this mean that he was going to be let off a little easier for any rule breaking? Not that he was planning anything but Whitty kinda needed to look out for himself and his friends, you know.

Proving herself to professors was always important, even if she’d rather not put in the work. Getting her name known was important, and she wasn’t about to risk a bad reputation. Therefore, shifting her kitten onto the bench where she’d been sitting, to save her seat, she had gotten up and approached the professor at her seat. “Thank you Professor Bellaire,” she said, giving her a little curtsy. She wasn’t getting a thank you for the welcome from all the way over where she’d been sitting, like the boy had gotten.
THIS! Faith restored in the generation. A polite student! She was a gem, a diamond in the rough, a beacon of light, hope for her generation! The girl received a genuine smile from the professor as well as a nod of her head.
"You are most welcome."
