That was one of those things that was nearly impossible to shake, even if she never sat under the table and sniffled again.
"I have to be brave for a bit. You go back for now." He could tell Kyroh and Maddie that she wasn't coming, either.
Dot put her hands on the bench and poked her head out, but she quickly disappeared back beneath the table and gave Dima a look. "There's a queen out there. We have our own queen?" Brave? So she was part Gryffindor too? Dima's lack of understanding about the sorting process led him to believe that maybe she had a bit of ALL the houses in her. The hat had probably just gotten confused. Or maybe it just put all the best people in Slytherin, 'cause Grayson was here too! He'd get a finger wiggle when they came out, ok? "I'll see you after, yeah?" If she didn't make new friends and get caught up in her first night, that was, because surely she would. And Dima didn't want to ruin it.
As for a queen... huh? He peeked out to see, then popped right back under the table. "That's Professor Bellaire. Dunno if she's a queen, but she'll definitely like you if you treat her like one!" He'd have to tell Dot about her class etiquette as well, because getting on the Transfiguration lady's bad side was NOT ideal.
