Walking into the Great Hall through the double doors, earlier than usual for once Leo headed for the dais slowly noting that Annie was already present as well as Airey and Cassiopeia. Tugging at his shirt to loosen the tie he had on just a fraction Leo made his way past the Ravenclaw table. Everything looked to be in order there and soon enough the new prefects Jun and Jasmine would arrive to oversee things and he knew Helena would make an appearance there too. It was going to be a good night he could feel it in the air.
Getting up onto the dais some moments later Leo gave Airey a warm grin "Congratulations to the appointment Airey. I'm sure the lions will be ecstatic when they hear the news." They had never really bonded like he did with Cossy or Piers and Javy because of Leo's feeling that Airey was always out to make fun of him in some way or other. And that made him uncomfortable.
Turning to Cassie he flashed her a warm smile. "Good evening Cassiopeia. You look beautiful tonight." Yes that she did. Leo was though still trying to figure out why she had acted so odd when they had bumped into each other in Diagon Alley during the holidays. He still wondered if he had done or said something wrong to her. Women were clearly mysterious except for maybe Sophia who he understood without trying. Passing in front of the headmistress seat Leo flashed Annie a warm smile. "Hello headmistress! I hope you had a wonderful summer vacation."
Passing several chairs before he found his own Leo sat down in it.
