As soon as Alysson was gone and William was back at his desk, January set down her pen and stood up. "William," she said quietly, stepping towards him with her hand outstretched... should she hold his hand? Maybe he didn't want to be around women at the moment. But she wanted to ask how he was. If he was okay? But obviously he wasn't. So January settled for: "What do you need?" Because she was his best friend and she would do anything for him.

He'd started shuffling some papers for something to do, but truth be told there weren't many papers on his desk. They hardly even made any noise at all, so that was a terrible distraction. And now January was here.

Oh. January. She must have..... well crap. William looked up at her with a wrinkled brow. What did he need? Did he look troubled? And in need of something? There was a pause while he looked at his friend and thought of something to request, but then he came up with: "A glass of water would be nice. I'm parched."
