Stuck inside with Sirius | *Splish-Splash* | bamBAM | ☁ Spooktacular ☁

Nia leant back in her chair, only to find it a bit too soft for her liking, and readjusting her posture more upright again. "That'd be lovely, thanks," she replied to the offer of coffee. She'd had one with breakfast, but another one wouldn't hurt. "With just a dash of cream." She'd usually have milk, but cream would be a nice treat. "The Prophet is covering it?" Nia couldn't help raise her eyebrows. "I know it's the off-season and all, but seems a little...intrusive." It'd taken a while for Nia to get used to the press coverage when she turned professional. Sure, the yearbook and Quill had covered matches at Hogwarts, but it wasn't quite the same as how critical some sports pundits could be in the national press. Of course, she'd only belatedly realised that her being the new, young, blonde face at the Harpies hadn't helped.

A safety choice? "Yes, that's something." She'd never really thought of Hogwarts as dangerous whilst she was there, eventful for sure, but it did seem to be getting more and more problematic in recent years. She knew her parents were facing a difficult choice with where to send her Nathaniel this academic year. He'd received his Hogwarts letter, but there were discussions in the Newtington household about whether Beauxbatons might be the safer option. "My brother is due to go in September...I know my parents are having serious talks about whether it's the right choice or not, especially after the recent freezing incident." She knew Nathaniel was by far strong enough to look after himself, but even so, she could understand her mother's worries.

Seeing Jorge straightening the parchment, Nia sat up a little straighter and mentally prepared herself for his questions. "Oh, you're welcome," she replied with a nod and a smile. "I hope I can give you something good, other than the ability to call it an exclusive." She gave a wry smile. On her end, the sponsors had been thrilled to find out she'd allowed an interview. She'd carefully chosen her sponsors so that it was her work on the pitch that mattered, but of course any extra publicity for them was a good thing.

And his first question? Nia chuckled. "I guess you haven't followed the league very long?" she said, a twinkle in her eye. "It all starts with my Dad, Theodore Newtington. He was, well, a bit of a legendary Keeper for the Bats, turned the team around after a few losing seasons. And then when he retired he became went to work at the ministry. Mariel's job, actually. Department Head of Games and Sports. She paused for a moment, collating her thoughts. "My twin borther didn't show show any inclination for flying," Jorge didn't need to know about Theo Junior's dream of flying like Buzz Lightyear, "but I was practically brought up on a broom. I don't think I truly believed I could make it as a pro player until I signed my first contract...but it was always a dream. I pestered Dad into taking me to see the Harpies play as much as possible, and of course, he always had free tickets to go see the Bats."
