With the quaffle tucked under his arm, he plunged forwards. No zig-zag or swirly-wirly movements, just in a smooth, straight line. Once he was a good distance from the goal posts, he raised the quaffle into the air and FAKE threw it, changing its direction in the last minute from directly at the hoops, to his left.
Just had to hope someone was there to catch it, and stuff. Preferably not the keeper, of course. He was TRYING to confuse the guy, after all.
And West was right there of course, he snatched it and immediately snapped the Quaffle hard at the goal, not intending to give Salvatore any particular chance to react. Probably the guy wouldn't have expected the teamwork from the three of them, it wasn't exactly the usual thing you saw in a tryout like this.
