Puck didn't know what her wand would be. She didn't exactly care. She just needed one that wouldn't break at most minor of spell - or when she fell on it. That was more apt to happen.
SHE needed a stronger core. Like really whoever thought that flimsy hair would work for her was an idiot. A major idiot.
