Hadley caught sight the two handed wave back from Airey and just smiled in amusement over him. In some sense she missed his enthusiasm sitting next to him. Not that Cosgrach and Leo weren't great company, but they were definitely more reserved than Airey.

SPOILER!!: Headmistress & Kevin

As she marched next to him up to the dais, the Headmistress rattled off a list of detailed, last-minute instructions to the second-year boy. As per his test of good manners, it would be up to him to remember them.

"Remember, do not speak unless spoken to. Use the fork on the outside first and move in. ASK to be passed certain food items, don't just reach over in front of someone and GRAB THEM. That is rude. DO NOT double-dip from anything nor eat off the serving spoons. You will sit in the Groundskeeper's old seat and you will NOT make faces or gestures at anyone at any of the other tables, INCLUDING the staff table. No horseplay in general is a good rule of thumb, and please do not spill anything."

She paused to give him a glance as they were now behind their appropriate chairs. "Got it? Good."

Without waiting for a formal response, the Headmistress pulled out her own chair and had a seat with a soft sigh. Ahhh. It was almost summer time, hopefully it would be summer at Hogwarts soon, Gryffindor had won the House cup, and no one had followed through on that Quidditch threat. All in all, not a bad year, right? Minus the weather?

She poured herself a glass of ice water and looked straight ahead, gathering her thoughts for her speech.

He listened. For the first time, Kevin actually listened and the more she spoke the more frustrated he became. He tried not to show it though. His school career was at stake! "Yeah yeah...i mean, yes Professor"What frustrated him the most was that he, Zander and Noel couldn't continue with their end of term prank. Kevin had made firework potions throughout the year and together with Culloden's exploding potion they had planned on dropping them on the Slytherin table after the House Cup had been given. He sighed heavily knowing that he has to cancel the prank.

Taking a seat, Kevin couldn't help but grin slightly when he remembered that HE had sat in the Headmistress seat once this year. And no one had bothered throwing him of. Ah...few moments of glory and power...although it was just a chair...

Since he wasn't allowed to speak unless spoken to, Kevin ignored the Professors and stared at the Gryffindor table. He wondered if they wondered why he was up there. They probably didnt care mweh.

Ah and there was the headmistress; with a second year Gryffindor in tow who was going to be sitting with them at the staff dais in the empty groundskeeper seat. Well this was different, but definitely provided more elbow room for Annie and Cece. And though it was nontraditional, Josephina figured the Headmistress knew what she was doing having a student sit with them. She wouldn't just do so on a whim, without thinking things through. The muggle studies professor offered the two a casual wave.

Her green eyes turned on Leo, whooops had she interrupted their conversation. "Leo, it's just so good to see you up and moving. How are you feeling?" Could she give happy hugs? She wasn't sure if she should incase he was still in pain. So happy snaps were going to do for now. "We were all so worried."

Her eyes moved to the rest of the table and she gave happy waves and "Hello" to the rest of the table. Her coworkers that she just so enjoyed being with this term. What fun it all was.
... as she heard Cassie speaking to Nessa and Leo and then offered a hello to rest of them. The blond was so bubbly that Josephina had to wonder, was it a Divination thing? But then she didn't remember Nolan being like this, yet he was a male. So perhaps just females? No wait, Renee wasn't so bubbly either. Nonetheless she offered a wave in return to her; "Evening Cassie!"

And Leo hadn’t received any letters, howlers, or anything from his eagles so he assumed the parents had been told something. Smiling warmly he continued. "I'm sure your husband and son are doing just fine and waiting for you to come home tomorrow." What else could he say to sooth her mind?

Drinking some water from his goblet Leo's eyes drifted to the banners in lion colours that decorated the halls when Fina commented on them. #It’s not strange. It’s how it is every year. The Gryffindors worked hard for it." Someone was clearly not taking her house not winning very well. "So got any special summer plans?" Leo asked to change the topic.
She nodded at Leo, "You don't have a ten month old baby at home though, do you? But yes, yes, you're probably right even if ... well what if the concerned parents tried to show up, but couldn't get to us? Because nothing seems to be able to get in or out; well, until recently as things have started to thaw" But by the love of Wenlock, it was still cold.

She shook her head; she wasn't bitter over her house not winning but it was still strange. "They did, didn't they? But it is strange, Gryffindor winning, i mean. Not that I'm not happy for them, because I am, it just feels different. Everything feels different. Like change is coming or maybe its already here," Hadley shrugged, taking a sip from her water goblet, as the librarian moved into a topic change. "Besides spending time with my family, I'm not sure. I'll let you know in September?"

Shining? No no, SPARKLING. To match her luminous personality, no? "It was certainly different than field work, being back in an academic setting. But I was still able to pursue my studies in my own way." Not that she'd ever talk about that with anyone here, least of all Fina. "But I must admit, regular access to a full washroom was certainly well received." She smiled easily. "Now we just have to see what Anastasia says about my return next year."
"Hey now, i do appreciate the compliment, senorita, don't get me wrong!" Fina said mildly offended by her tone. "And lovely, even if i don't need slimming, well it still has that effect!" Please, her man would know better than to say such things. And she wouldn't let him get away with it either.

"Ah yes, the Hogwarts Library is one of a kind," she nodded, patting her neighbor on the shoulder. He did a good job with its upkeep. That was what she was talking about with pursuing her studies, right? Hopefully. "And yes, a full washroom is a great benefit. But I doubt Anastasia could say anything to refuse your return; a proper Arithmancy curriculum among the students was certainly well received." She didn't hear anything negative in the least.

"But in fairness, we've always had a fierce lot, they've just managed to come together and pushed themselves to the limit this term. I'm still astounded by their efforts." Truly remarkable group they were, a well deserved win.
She turned to look back at her flower friend and smiled at her response about her lions. "Of course. But yes, I understand what you mean. They really persevered to earn the win." She nodded, trying to hold back the sadness she felt at the thoughts of not seeing Seren at the dais next term. She would definitely be arranging Hogsmeade meetings with her at the Three Broomsticks or something. And there was going to be some serious girl!bonding after the feast too. Last one.

"Any plans for this summer?"
She smiled amused at Cosgrach. "I didn't strike you for much of a beach lover, Cosgrach. But I guess misreading people does happen." she laughed back at him.

"Oh you know, just spending quality time with the family."

She turned her head toward the Healer to give her a cold, level stare. Annie had honestly had enough of Tillstorm's sass for this school year, and she was not about to be told how to discipline a student at HER school and HER feast.

Discipline had always been one of Annie's strengths.

"Secondly," oh no, Healer, she wasn't finished with you yet, "Kevin is seated here as part of his detention. He has lost the privileges to sit with his Housemates and cause trouble over there. So, his behavior at this feast will indicate to me how he will be starting next school... or IF he will be starting it at all. I will thank you NOT to jump to conclusions on MY policies in the future and kindly keep your opinions to yourself."

Privately, she was quite proud of how Kevin had winked at the woman and all that. It was hilarious to watch. But, publicly, the redhead had to maintain a cold and stoic expression. So with her last remark, the Headmistress turned her nose up at the woman and instead focused on the other side of the table, where the astronut was in hysterics yet again.

She did, however, mutter toward Kevin since he was sitting on that side of her and she was certain the Healer wouldn't hear: "Watch it, Hirase."

"Cassie," she calmly greeted the Divination professor, even giving the woman a smile for her compliment, "thank you! I hope you enjoyed your first ter---- AWWW, are those YOUR baby kitties?!!" SEH CUTE. SEH CUTE. And carrying them with her in a travel purse? GENIUS!!!!!!

Annie would have leaned past Kevin to pet the kitties on any other occasion, but since she was getting hungry, it was high time to start this feast. She cleared her throat loudly and sent a LOOK to Flamsteed, along with a low, "Get back in your seat," hissed reprimand. Because he needed it.

Then she stood and smoothed out her dress, moving along the dais to give her short and sweet speech.

"Good evening," the Headmistress' magnified voice echoed across the Great Hall. "Welcome to the conclusion of another successful term. Obviously we have had to weather a few odd circumstances," ha ha punny, right? "But rest assured that the rest of the wizarding world is fully enjoying their June, and after tonight, you will be too." She faked a smile for the students.

"As always, we have a few goodbyes to say this term, some to our friends, some to our departing professors, but we also have a few congratulations! Congratulations go out to Gryffindor on their successfully winning the House Cup, and to Slytherin on winning the Gobstones Cup. Congratulations to us ALL, also, as no one died or aged this term."

She almost said 'or was injured' but a glance at the staff table reminded her that that wasn't true. So, with those announcements, Bunz led the tables in a round of applause.

"One final announcement: please be careful going out to the carriages, and seventh years, if I were you, I wouldn't risk being bold and stupid and taking the boats across the icy lake to the train station. Just take a carriage. It's still cold outside, WE KNOW, but we're working on it."

And that was that. Speech given, the food had appeared and the Headmistress hurried back to her seat to grab something warm.
And there was the speech. Well before that, she did overhear an explanation to the healer on why Kevin was sitting there; see! She knew there had to be a reason! Anastasia wouldn't just have a student up at the dais for the closing feast for any willy nilly reason.

She clapped appropriately at hearing the announcement of the house cup and gobstones cup, knowing that her Hufflepuffs were still winners at heart. And then without further ado, the food! Her favorite part....

Reaching the table, she smiled at everyone sitting there. "Hello, I hope you all will have an amazing summer. Thank you for the awesome classes this term." It was great to see Mr. Kitridge feeling better. "I am so glad you are okay now, Mr. Kitridge." Poor man. He had been out cold for a lot longer than Bay had been.

Finally her eyes rested on Professor Bentley. "Do you really have to go?" She didn't want Professor Bentley to go. Lux could already feel that she was going to end up crying.
... just as she begun spooning mashed potatoes onto her plate, Lux came up and greeted them, wishing them an amazing summer. Would they ever get to eat in peace? Probably not. "Thank you, Lux and likewise to you on wishing you an amazing summer!"

Nessa wasn't sure how she would deal with leaving a baby at home, especially having absolutely no contact because of the intense winter. "Aww, I'm sure you can't wait to see your family again.. Do you have many fun things planned for summer?" She could only imagine the things she'd want to do with a baby, there had to be so much to enjoy.
See now, even though Nessa was younger than her and didn't have kids of her own yet, she was pretty sure the woman would understand. She was empathetic at least in the way she addressed her. "You could say that again," Fina sighed. "I'm pretty sure I've counted down to the minutes left until I see them again ... but my plans mostly include hanging out with them, nothing really set in stone though, I might possibly be taking Sept to see his grandparents in Italy." They'll see though, who knows? Maybe the grandparents will come to them?

"Thank you for the ingredients and the potion ,'' he added in a whisper.

Annnnd back in the direction of Bentley. Adi was sad to see her go. The persons, whoever they are, that would take her place as Professor of Herbology, Gryffindor Head of House and Deputy Head had a lot to live up to. "Professor Bentley, Hello.'' Adi gave her one of his friendly, always happy grin. "You've done a great job especially at Herbology. I've enjoyed each of your lessons for the three years I've been here. I'm going to miss you.'' Now could he give her a hug?
So Hadley kind of loved the fact that Aditya seemed taken to addressing her as 'Professor Head of House', like a merge of her two titles. "Thank you, Adi! Rest up and enjoy your summer as well!"
