His head would grow bigger than the badge already inflated it." Odessa would be tolerable mostly because she'd grown so accustomed to ignoring him but how did one ignore the obnoxious Theodore Kinsley? It didn't seem possible.
Lex gave a nod, confirming Lottie's question. "Yup. After the feast there isn't much of the castle to see that I never saw last term and all the same people--'cept the firsties and they usually don't impress me so...." If she was being honest, this way of thinking was relatively new and came with the restlessness to be out of the castle and away from here. After years and years of watching others leave, her own patience on the matter had run thin. "I look forward to my birthday too, but mostly because it's the day we go home." Tomorrow to be exact. AHEM. "But at some point in the term I'm glad I stay...only during the most epic events though." Like that meeting with Mr. Vinteren in his office. Did Lottie remember that? Good times
Of course her best friend was as pumped for the summer as she was because of the best plans in the world. Common knowledge. Mutual feeling too. "Gonna be nice seeing the sun again. Reckon we've all got some vitamin D problem now." January was ages ago, this wasn't healthy. "Sand, sun, drinks and not a textbook or annoying schoolmate in sight." She could see it now and it and started wishing the train would come tonight.
Oh, wait a minute. She hadn't thought about Theodore Kinsley. Suddenly, she started agreeing with Lex. "I forgot about him." Which was technically true, she had managed to simply ignore plenty of people, and he seemed to fall into that particularly category. "I'm with you on that, but it wouldn't have been for long." And Lotus wouldn't have minded much, to be honest, it's not like she was close to Kinsley in any way so she would be annoyed by him.
Speechless. Yes, she was speechless after that entire explanation. The weird thing about it was that it absolutely made sense. But, like, it wasn't until this term that they found that Innovation Lounge, yeah? More like they were told about it, but shhhh. So, perhaps there were far more rooms they weren't aware of. Granted, those who are not involved in the yearbook whatsoever didn't know of other places, but rooms like that lounge made it all worth it. "We did get to see a room we've never seen before this time around." And Lotus got to spend a lot more time in the planetarium than... well, ever. Not by choice, though, it was the only way to stargaze without freezing to death. "Sure, that all makes sense. Some epic events aren't exactly worth it, though." Hmmmm, "I mostly miss epic people." Such as Ivy Knox. Yes.
Still beaming about summer plans, though. They're gonna have the best of times, NO DOUBT. "I agree!" she nodded enthusiastically, "Except with the vitamin D problem." They had no problems, you see. Text Cut: Tag ^^ Quote:

"I'm glad I was able to have a fortunate and smooth business about my jokes, Miss Wisteria. Excellent to work with you." He said, jokingly, almost sounding like he'd been in a meeting, as he outstretched his hand towards her.
"Yes, one would tink that." He said, eyeing his girlfriend. Ahem, what was the laugh all about? The boy was being honest and serious here, thank you very much! But, whatever, it made him smile nonetheless. "Of course. It's quite unpredictable. Like, it'll explode in five billion years or something." He said with a shrug. It was probably incorrect, his 'fact'. There was that kiss. Tag never knew what to do with it whenever she did that. So, he caught it, a confused expression on his face, and threw it back to her. Yes, that happened.
Speech was done. Good. Finally. Now Tag wasn't so hungry. He immediately began piling his plate with food. "Eat." He told his girlfriend. Not that she needed to be reminded or something.
It was definitely a special joke. No need to wear it out. His words, though, Lotus laughed softly at them and shook his hand. Tag had been very fortunate, that was true. "Always a pleasure, Mr. Kildare," and she added a wink just because. Business, right.
Laughter usually happens if one finds something funny, yes? Unless it was related to a revenge of sorts, but this wasn't the case. And she wouldn't be laughing, mostly smirking. Now, about this sun... the real sun is actually quite predictable, if not for the fact that it was technically a time-bomb, like any other yellow dwarf. But there was some truth to what her boyfriend said. "It's a good thing we probably won't be alive, then." Why, of course she wasn't serious, clearly joking about this. Imagine if Airey could even hear them. But the man seemed preoccupied about other things at the staff table.
Speaking of...
...a speech came, and it... told them nothing about the cause for this snow or anything. Not even where the Groundskeeper had disappeared to. Well, nice to know everyone cares.
Now, food. She smiled at Tag and winked his way. No need to mention that, really. Of course she'll be eating. |
