Nope. She didn't. All she had to do was say she needed the help.
Adi was still looking away now. He wished he could just glue his eyes to something else. But there was nothing nor anyone interesting to look at. Maybe if Angel were still up to her crazy antics...AJ directed another question his way giving him an excuse to look back at her. "Nuh uh. I'd keep my lips zipped so you'd look silly in front of everyone.'' Hehe.
Yes. What was wrong with Valentine, Ian? Adi wondered. "Maybe he wants it to be named after you alone,'' he joked. Because Valentine covered all three sisters.
Food, food, food! Adi wasted no time in going for some steak and kidney pie. "Make sure you leave some stuff for your Housemates, AJ.''
The lion squinted at him. AJ was stubborn, but not about this. She thought that she was right. She reached up, and tucked a stray hair behind Adi's ear.
"How about this? We are both equally cool." How was that for a compromise? That was as good as it was going to get from her, so she hoped Adi would take it.
"You're better than me at magic but that's because you're older." Oh yeah, she had to get that dig in there. He was tired of helping her out, huh?
"Fine. I'll just ask Ian." He was the one who helped her out when Adi and AJ weren't speaking.
"Hey Ian, you wanna help me out in class sometimes?" Then Adi said he was joking, which she figured that he was. She had options, Rehman.
"That's better," she said with a crooked grin.
That's what she figured.
"How do I know you're not lying to me now?" The fact was that she could tell when he was joking or being serious, so she really never had to worry about that.
AJ stared at Ian, awaiting his response. Then what Adi said was sinking in. What was that supposed to mean?
"You mean like since it is my house we should name it AJ or something?" That kind of made sense. It was
her house after all. AJ scooped up mashed potatoes, and chicken on her plate.
"Mmm. This is good stuff." She looked over to Adi's plate.
"What's that you're eating?" She may just have to try that.
