Still beaming happily, Nessa turned to her side to give Leo her full attention as he spoke to her. "Oh, it was just.." Eeep, she was just brimming too full of happiness and excitement right now that she couldn't even finish her thought. She was just thrilled that he was well enough to be able to sit next to her at the table again. In fact. she just had to reach over and give him a tightly squeezed side-hug from her seat. "I'm so glad you're okay, Leo. We were all so worried. I mean, you are alright, yes? No lingering issues?" Goodness, he was so, so brave to have had to undergo such an ordeal. But back to his question now that she made sure to say what she did.. "My year was just superb. I had quite a lovely time.. and thank you so much for asking!" He was so sweet to think of that after what he had gone through, certainly he had other things on his mind. SPOILER!!: Seren Quote:

Nessa couldn't help but to allow her brown eyes to follow the Herbology professor as she made her way to her seat. She looked so pleased and the brunette couldn't blame her, in fact she was very happy for her. And her smile seemed contagious. "Congratulations!" she beamed at the woman as she leaned towards her. "You must be so pleased." What a wonderful send-off for the woman. SPOILER!!: Fina Quote:

He was considerate in the least. She sighed before setting the fork down - because it did seem to be making him uncomfortable judging from the way he was eyeing her hand. "I miss my family. I haven't heard from them in months and I'm just ... worried, but not as worried as I bet they are about me, considering our predicament at Hogwarts." At least it wasn't snowing which gave hope that they would be able to get out of the castle after all. "That and the banners. Its just ... strange, you know?" Not that she wasn't happy for the Gryffindors; they definitely earned it, but she was sad for her Hufflepuffs. Like something died or ended within her. Nessa caught the smile Fina offered in her direction and responded with a large one in return. She couldn't help but overhear some of the conversation she was having with Leo since she was sitting right next to him. Oh my.. how awful it must be to have no contact with your brand new family. Nessa wasn't sure how she would deal with leaving a baby at home, especially having absolutely no contact because of the intense winter. "Aww, I'm sure you can't wait to see your family again.. Do you have many fun things planned for summer?" She could only imagine the things she'd want to do with a baby, there had to be so much to enjoy. SPOILER!!: Airey Quote:

His own schedule permitting that is. A lull in the conversation at her end of the table certainly did not bother Nessa. She simply turned her attention to other places, the pretty decorations, the students visiting with their friends.. she glanced down at the other end of the table to see Airey waving at her. Beaming broadly, she gave him a double handed wave as well. Her smile didn't even falter to see his outfit for the evening. Was that a scuba suit? What a conversation starter! She wasn't sure, but figured it had to do with something with the lake. "I'm not sure the lake has thawed enough yet, Airey," she called down towards his end of the table. But what an optimist!
Oh goodness.. what was he shouting about? SPOILER!!: Bunz, Cece, Kevin Quote:

Bunz had a student of her OWN to bring up the staff table, and with all the pressure riding on how Mr. Hirase behaved at said table... well, the boy didn't really need any other distractions.
As she marched next to him up to the dais, the Headmistress rattled off a list of detailed, last-minute instructions to the second-year boy. As per his test of good manners, it would be up to him to remember them.
"Remember, do not speak unless spoken to. Use the fork on the outside first and move in. ASK to be passed certain food items, don't just reach over in front of someone and GRAB THEM. That is rude. DO NOT double-dip from anything nor eat off the serving spoons. You will sit in the Groundskeeper's old seat and you will NOT make faces or gestures at anyone at any of the other tables, INCLUDING the staff table. No horseplay in general is a good rule of thumb, and please do not spill anything."
She paused to give him a glance as they were now behind their appropriate chairs. "Got it? Good."
Without waiting for a formal response, the Headmistress pulled out her own chair and had a seat with a soft sigh. Ahhh. It was almost summer time, hopefully it would be summer at Hogwarts soon, Gryffindor had won the House cup, and no one had followed through on that Quidditch threat. All in all, not a bad year, right? Minus the weather?
She poured herself a glass of ice water and looked straight ahead, gathering her thoughts for her speech. Quote:

He listened. For the first time, Kevin actually listened and the more she spoke the more frustrated he became. He tried not to show it though. His school career was at stake! "Yeah yeah...i mean, yes Professor"What frustrated him the most was that he, Zander and Noel couldn't continue with their end of term prank. Kevin had made firework potions throughout the year and together with Culloden's exploding potion they had planned on dropping them on the Slytherin table after the House Cup had been given. He sighed heavily knowing that he has to cancel the prank.
Taking a seat, Kevin couldn't help but grin slightly when he remembered that HE had sat in the Headmistress seat once this year. And no one had bothered throwing him of. Ah...few moments of glory and power...although it was just a chair...
Since he wasn't allowed to speak unless spoken to, Kevin ignored the Professors and stared at the Gryffindor table. He wondered if they wondered why he was up there. They probably didnt care mweh. Quote:

No! Kirby was gone. No one was supposed to be sitting in that seat. Especially not a STUDENT! And a LION at that!
Looking past the CHILD sitting next to her, Cece glared at the headmistress. "Really? We now allow students to sit up here?" Was this some sort of sick joke? Was it not bad enough that her snakes had lost the house cup to the lions by a mere eighty-seven points? Did she have to sit next to not only the lion head of house, but now one of their students too?
Could she just leave now? It wasn't like she was going to eat or drink anything at this feast anyway.
And was Flamsteed wearing a wetsuit?
Gryffindor's. The whole lot of them were nuts Minus Victor. She still liked that kid.. Nessa's attention was diverted yet again by the appearance of the Headmistress leading young Mr. Hirase to the table. She smiled approvingly at them both. He still had some learning to do it seemed and Annie was so smart to think of continuing it at the feast before he went home. Of course, who knew what next term would bring.. but this was a good start, she was certain of it. Brown eyes did drift to Cece as she heard her snappish tone. Oh my.. someone had gotten up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. "Oh, he's just here to learn some manners," she said smiling sweetly at the Healer. "And what better place to learn manners than sitting with the adults of the school.." Or not learn as she had to reluctantly agree with Annie. She supposed even adults sometimes still had some learning to do. And see? Listen to how politely he was speaking now. SPOILER!!: Cassie Quote:
Originally Posted by Bazinga Seeing the other end of the table as she spoke to Annie, Cassie couldn't help but get up from her seat. Checking to make sure the kittens weren't thinking anything she beamed. Nope they would stay like good little kitties. Quietly the woman made her way over to the other side of the table. "Seren, I had to come over and wish you luck. It's been a joy getting to know you this term. The students will miss you and so will we." She knew she didn't know the woman long, but long enough to know they were losing fantastic Herbology Professor. Someone would have big shoes to fill.
Smiling at her bestie she gave her a quick hug. "Nessa, we did it! Our first term as Professors." It was a fun year even with the snow. She never really minded that part anyway. "I think we should reward ourselves with a shopping trip this summer, what do you think?" Yes, please say yes!! Bestie trips were the best! Her green eyes turned on Leo, whooops had she interrupted their conversation. "Leo, it's just so good to see you up and moving. How are you feeling?" Could she give happy hugs? She wasn't sure if she should incase he was still in pain. So happy snaps were going to do for now. "We were all so worried."
Her eyes moved to the rest of the table and she gave happy waves and "Hello" to the rest of the table. Her coworkers that she just so enjoyed being with this term. What fun it all was.
And there was her best friend! Nessa simply beamed at the blonde as she made her way to her end of the table and eagerly returned the hug. "I KNOW! And it was so much fun too!" Of course she shouldn't be surprised that she came up with such a fantastic idea too, her bestie always had the best ideas. "Eeep! Yes! We totes should." She couldn't help but to clap a little excitedly at the thought. "Where should we go?"
Nessa didn't have time to give it much thought because Annie was getting up to speak and she wanted to give her her full attention. Oh wonderful! The weather was being sorted out and they'd have no problem going home. She did miss the little house in Hogsmeade that she shared with Cassie. The brunette of course applauded for the Gryffindors and the Slytherins on their wins.. and all of the houses for their hard work. More applause when Annie was finished and she bit her lip as she looked at the food on the table. It looked delicious, but she wasn't sure she could eat, feeling so excited. That wouldn't stop her from trying though..
