That people were going to be careful about her now that they knew. Or didn’t know. Actually talking to this older girl, kinda confused him. So was she not suspicious or was she?

Weird.

Anyways. Back to business. Not at the table? And she was SURE? Absolutely and positively sure? He leaned in towards her just a bit and looked her in the eyes, ”You really think they’re all… safe?” Because she was old. So she had to be right. See Simon was trying to convince him that it wasn’t Romanos all this time, but how would Simon know? He was just as clueless as Zander. But old people, they knew what they were talking about. It was a fact. So she was absolutely sure that it was Romanos?

Interesting.

She did know a lot about the chorts. A bit TOO much if you asked this Gryffindor. Though he nodded his head, he still gave her a skeptical look. ”So do you think she was trying to protect us then?” Because she had to be doing something with the chort knowledge right? Could Lotus explain that?

Reading was not suspicious behavior if one considered who was sitting near her, really. And while Lottie adored Botros and Airey, the same couldn't be said about the rest. So, she understood why she was reading. Not suspicious at all.

It wasn't Romanos, Zander!

The sixth year could tell he was still having doubts about this, it was fine, she would too. She could be quite stubborn sometimes. But at his question, she turned her face to the table and scanned it, thoroughly, she supposed she wouldn't trust the Arithmancy one, but that's because she didn't know the woman. Lottie wasn't one for Arithmancy, see. THEN... she realized something. Something she'd discussed with Lex a while ago. "Romanos definitely didn't do it. I think they're all safe, but are you actually seeing the table, Zander? Like actually seeing it?" Wasn't he missing something? Or rather... someone. "Sometimes the clues are in what's missing, not what's clearly noticeable." She smiled at him, her eyes went back to the table, "If I were you, I'd be wondering why the Groundskeeper isn't there." No?

See? Doubts. "Yes, I'm certainly positive she was trying to protect us." And protect Airey Flamsteed, too, who knows? "As a Defense Professor she has to be knowledgeable in what we're going to defend ourselves from, that doesn't mean she brought this upon us." It was just an awful coincidence.

"Exactly. I'm just glad I finally figured it all out." Imagine if he were still going back and forth on what he wanted to do or if he wanted to go straight into work rather than continue with education. He'd be stressed between all his thoughts. "Its in London, both of the colleges, actually. I'm not sure I could stray far from England. Or Ireland." But Ireland didn't contain any of Tag's friends, so he never bothered looking at schools there. Though his words, there could be some exceptions to it. "It should be used to the sun. Considering you spend a lot of time with it." Wink. Kidding. He knew she meant the literal sun.

Okay, fair enough. Next time. There will be a next time for sure. He didn't use this joke enough, you know? And for that she was grateful, overusing a joke could be just as bad as telling a REAL bad joke, and there were plenty of those. She still liked them, don't tell anyone. "Deal." That out of place wink made her blush, though. He needed to stop with those. ASAP.

And so was she! Glad that he finally figured it all out, that is. Her smile widened, "I am too," for him, you know? It was great knowing what you wanted, in general. Then he mentioned London, yes, he'd mentioned that before, but when he spoke of England and Ireland her mind wondered for a moment if he was saying this because of California. That smile faltered slightly. The Hogwartian merely nodded. Now, the sun, that bit actually got a laugh out of her and immediately shook her head after that other wink. "One would think that, right? But you never get used to it." She winked back, and even blew a kiss at him.

Could they get to the speech part yet? Because she was getting hungry.
