Whatever he was worried about wasn't good news to Simon.

So it was about BENTLEY. Give her something? Like what? wondered the boy. Before he could pose that question, Zander was asking what happened if he froze up there. "You're not going to freeze up there. You'll be fine, mate. Just take lots of deep breaths. Here if you want, we can practice." Practice made perfect after all, eh? Simon struggled finding the next words. "I'll be her and you be you." Simple enough, right?

And now for his previous question. "Give her something? Like what?"

Simon grinned at Bay, Lux's boyfriend. "Nice to meet you Bay." Man, the Gryffindors were nice in his year. Well Zahra was a bit of a nutcase but oh well. She would be useful to him. If she didn't throw anything at his head in class. "Thanks. It was a tough fight but congrats. Next year will be a tougher fight," he added with a grin at his new friend. He felt incredibly awkward as Bay lifted a goblet in honour of him for he didn't have a goblet so he picked up a random goblet from the table and lifted it. Bay was cool.

So Lux was an honourary Gryffindor? Intriguing. Simon had never heard of one of those before. He simply raised a right eyebrow before grinning at the girl. "That's kind of her. Bentley's really nice," he said. She had always been so kind and he too would miss her- even if he didn't really know her too well. She was just so kind and lovely and nice. He could see why Zander had feelings for her. Oh right, beach party! Simon smiled again. He really hoped that he could make the party. "I'll try within all my power to get there. Where do you live?" he asked curiously. Then scratching his head awkwardly (another bad tick), he nodded. "Yeah. I'll be living in an eternal winter while all you guys get to enjoy the warmth."

Not fun.
