"Oh, I'm a third year." he then answered her question. Some people thought he was in a different year most times. He did in fact look a bit older than he was but oh well. "I'm a first year." She thought he knew that already. Or he probably could have guessed, considering she looked pretty young. Hayden prayed that she would hit a growth spurt before returning to Hogwarts next year. She at least wanted to hit five feet before she turned thirteen. That wasn't too unreasonable, right?
Hayden tried to focus on the conversation at hand with Dylan. That was proving to be a little difficult considering her hunger and impatience. All she wanted was for food to magically appear on the table, was that too much to ask? No. Trying to stay reasonably cheerful, Hayden focused on Dylan.
"Were your first two years at Hogwarts so...weird?" Was the temperature normal? Was everything else normal? She remembered what Maddie said about hearing stories from her brothers. About people
dying and everything. What was it going to be like to attend this school for seven years? Hopefully warm.
