And here came his girlfriend. The one he'd miss the most, of course. But that didn't mean he'd miss a couple of the younger years here. Because he would. Lotus just had a special place for Tag. It was only natural.
He returned the smile to his girlfriend and asked her the most casual question. "What's up bud?" The blonde could've gone with something else, but this would always be a winner.
That was so not fair, you know? He didn't even have to say anything. She was merely here to provide the best view possible on his last feast. That was all. But then he had to ask. And her smile widened almost instantly. "That's not how it goes, you know?" That was only part of it. Also, the part she could say if she was granted permission to do so. Now she technically had nothing to say back.
Unfair, see? "All set?" MERLIN KNEW SHE WAS! More than ready to leave this place, only she had to wait an entire year for this to happen. But it was okay, she had her best friend with her the entire time, no? Yes. The entire time. Summer looked beyond promising and she couldn't be more excited for it. She'll remind Flamsteed about the letters he needs to send out later, though, not now. Knowing the man, he probably already sent them. ALL THE EXCITEMENT.

So then, not a Hufflepuff at all. False alarm, limit not reached and Lex grinned at her bestie. "A nice change from the yellow and black banners every year, eh?" Lottie, she was sure, could appreciate this change as much as they did.
She didn't bother asking what brought her to the lion table for the fact she didn't care so long as she was staying and because evident the other 1/4 of her reason was sitting across from her already making his own conversation. Yes, 1/4, we're good at math and Lex was obviously the 3/4. DUH. "Not a drop of snow. We're getting out of here tomorrow and I'll never be happier. Ugh. When's the last time we saw the outside?" The fact she couldn't remember said it had been too long.
...excitement.
...why mention the yellow??? Hmmmmm? Lotus laughed, though, and clearly agreed with her words, "A very welcomed change, indeed." She wasn't very fond of the color yellow, you see. Then again, her bestie knew. "Congrats!" This wasn't the first time Gryffindor had won since Lex has been at Hogwarts, right? No, it couldn't. Maybe they won her first year here.
Quite frankly, Lottie didn't care for this whole House Cup thing. At all.
So... she didn't pay attention.
Yes, Alexa Cambridge, you're the sole reason Lotus Wisteria is sitting at this table. This will probably happen again next year, FYI. No kidding. "Finally! It seems we've been waiting for summer to come, like, forever ago." So, London will seem a bit hotter than usual, since they've been used to the cold. Even Oleander will appreciate the heat. "I can't remember, but we'll see a lot of everything! Especially overseas!" BEAMING, we are. |
