"Of course I did. I can tell you guys apart, you know. Well, I can tell you apart from Angel and Abby especially.'' He grinned proudly. Yes, he was pleased with that bit.
"Me? I'm good, Ian. Just sore that Gryffindor won.'' He glanced at AJ, wondering what she would think of that. Haha. That part about them winning too was a joke. Adi had wanted the Lions to win and they had! He suddenly had the urge to join Angel in singing at the top of his lungs.
Noooo! Why was she pulling her hand away? Adi liked holding onto it. He suddenly felt disappointed but he didn't say anything nor did he let any of the disappointment show. What he did show was surprise. As if he just realised her hand had been in his.
"Oh...sorry...'' Mumbling. Meh. He watched AJ for further reactions. Awkward wasn't going to happen again, right? Because now the Hufflepuff was flashing back to that day at the Lake and what she had told him. He had brushed what she said off as a crush. But here he was, wishing he hadn't.
What was it for? Really it was just her playing with him. AJ could say that it was for making Benny upset, but it really wasn't. She was just curious if Adi really did know that it was her.
Suuure it does. AJ had barely kicked him so she knew he was just poking fun at her.
"Yeah, I'm the fun one, so it really wasn't that hard." She laughed at the thought of Abby.
"Me and Abby aren't identical so that's a no brainer." His eyes were covered so he wouldn't have been able to tell.
"I told ya, you just can't win against me." The odds were not in his favor on that one. She was so pumped that they had won. Nothing could foul her good mood. Life was great. AJ glanced down the table again at Benny and Angel... she wasn't going to beg them. She was sure that Angel was enjoying the alone time with him. So really, her sister should be thanking her for that.
Even though Adi had let go of her hand it was like she could still feel it on hers. Maybe she should have just let it go, and kept her mouth shut. She was just scared to make the wrong move because the last time that she did, they ended up not speaking for months. Besides, he was right. It was just a crush. She was happy with them being friends again. AJ was not going to be be the one to mess that up again.
