There was no second place--only first place losers, and that's what they were. Sophie took an inward sigh and began the process of convincing herself there was so many positives that the negatives shouldn't matter as much. They'd really done an AWESOME job. She was so proud of the fight they'd put up. Eighty-seven points really wasn't THAT many points. They'd ALMOST won.
So she returned Adelaide's smile. "Hey," she said. "Congratulations on getting out of here." Adelaide was glad when Sophie finally smiled. She was probably down about the decoration. Addi had nothing to say about it. She'd been out for part of the term and was not into working for another part. Heck. The last few months were the only time she put forth even the slightest bit of effort. "Thanks. You guy's 'll get 'em next year." She had faith her snakes. SPOILER!!: Derry Quote:

Derry had reverted to the blatant ignoring of anything negative that she sometimes switched to when the alternative was rubbish, so she was just carrying on with her life... AS IF EVERYTHING WAS HAPPY. Which is was going to be. Yep. Addi frowned a bit. Right. Derry had no idea what had been going on at home. The last she knew her horse was sick. Fingers crossed everything was all right. And if it wasn't she'd apparate right over to give her ginger twin giant hugs. "It'll be all right." Gotta stay positive. SPOILER!!: Scan Quote:

She was gonna miss that charm and that ego. Who would've thought just two years ago comments like that from him just made her blush like crazy. My how things have changed. "Of course. I'd be crazy if I didn't think you were attractive." Which was true. He was very attractive. All of the male slytherin seventh years were and she was not afraid to admit it to herself. Out loud though, she was slightly hesitant. Unless it was brought up in conversation. SPOILER!!: cat Quote:

It was a good thing that she'd brought her cannoli along, like usual. But when she reached her house table, Cat placed the box on the bench where she was going to sit, and then she bounced over to her fellow seventh years, well, those who were present, and gave them all (even Ascanius!) hugs. HUGS. Because really, when was the next time she would be able to do that? "Hello, everyone!" She smiled at them, returning to her spot and offering out the cannoli. And there was a Cat with a cannoli as usual. She gave her dormmate a big hug. Man she was going to miss these people. "Hey Cat." Watching Cat hug everyone reminded Addi she needed to do that before they all left. Even if she had to tackle them at King's Cross. SPOILER!!: Terror Twins Quote:

West sat down heavily and STARED at an empty goblet in the centre of the table. Graduating. Whew. Quote:

He turned up relatively early to get a good seat, and thankfully seats around his best friend were still available so Theo chose the one next to him. Of course. He gave West a little shoulder wiggle before sitting down. "This is it, mate!" He tried his BEST excited face.
Really, really tried.
Once he was settled into a seat, his eyes looked automatically for his other seventh year friends who were all off to do their own thing, no doubt. He smiled and waved at some of the girls, and then he watched a couple of younger kids with a longing sigh. Oh, how he wished to be young again. Oh, how this day sucked. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, phooey. In a rush he splashed the contents of the cup over the front of Theo's pants. "OOPS YOU SPILLED WATER ON YOUR PANTS!" West said dramatically, a twinkle in his eye. West got a smile as he joined them. And look at that. Theo not far behind. "Hey West, Theo." She giggled as West poured water on Theo. Oh gosh. Did she mention she was gonna miss them? Not out loud but she'd definitely thought it about a million times by this point of the feast...and food hadn't even been served yet. SPOILER!!: Józsua Quote:

He cast smiles, coupled with nods of greeting to his few friends, not wanting to intrude on their conversations.... everyone had stuff going on. He didn't want to be a nuisance. Now to wait for the speech... This was so hard. Addi giggled at Derry's attempt to get Józsua to join them. She was glad things were good between them. She motioned to the seat open right across from her next to Cassia. "Come on sour puss. We don't bite." Well she wouldn't. She couldn't speak for the rest of them. She didn't know what they were into.
