Aly sighed AGAIN and leaned back in her seat, folding her hands on her lap. "Did you explain it to her? What really happened?" Or what had happened according to him. His side. Because even if he couldn't get that one promotion anymore, he might be up for another. There might be a new position opening up. But if his boss didn't think too highly of him, then she wouldn't give that to him either.
