For a moment Alysson wasn't sure if she should tell him off for behaving like a child or if she should just laugh. She chose the latter. But managed to suppress most of it almost immediately, eventually leaving her with just a small grin on her lips. "As long as you don't curse her or wrestle her to the ground I don't think you'd get in trouble with our department." Emily, he would of course get in trouble with her but that was different.
She eyed him for a moment. "Well you can't just leave every room she's in for the rest of your life." Well no, it wasn't fair. William returned the hand squeeze somewhat reluctantly. "I did talk to her," he sighed. "That's how I found out about all this, ages after it had happened." Hadn't he said that? Couldn't she imagine how embarrassed he had felt, going in to ask for a promotion only to be told that someone had complained about him?!
Nothing he could really do about it now though. What was done was done. He gave her a small smile too, since what she was saying DID make sense, but didn't she know William? "I can and will do that," he laughed shortly and stood up, dropping Aly's hands. "Anyway, I should probably be getting back to the job that I have."
