A brief thought did cross her mind as to where a certain Slytherin she knew might be, but didn't question it. He was probably off doing something exciting.
She eyed this fort that they had created & then looked back over at Simon as he explained to her that it was a wall of defense. A snowball fight? The second year smiled, "I-I used to have snowball fights w-with my father back home all the time.." She watched as he was glancing about the table, looking at other people & noticed his eyes land on....PROFESSOR FLAMSTEED.
Just as she was about to have a minor panic attack she heard Simon ask if she wanted to join them. She cleared her throat & then nodded her head a little bit.
"U-Um...sure." She whispered, "A-Are you really going to throw a snowball at the Professor?"

Anywhere that had good food was a place worth visiting. LOL. The French question? WAS it awesome? "Oui! Fluent in French and English. Why? You wanna learn?" It was supposed to be the language of luuuuuurve or whatever. Have any secret intentions you want to share, Holden?
HOW IN THE FREAKING NAME OF MERLIN DID THIS BOY KNOW HOW TO DO SPELLS NON-VERBALLY? "You serious? You can cast spells non-verbally?" Jeez, man, way to make Whitty look like a freaking dumb idiot. But thank YOU for telling him what spell to use. Grayson followed suit and started bundling up the snow so that they can make their epic -- mark his words, it was going to be EPIC -- snow fort. A barrier. Which certainly wasn't cowardly, mkay? "You're smart, man. Just try not to get yourself hit and you'll be good. Brilliant, even."
Oh?
OH? A friend friend?
And to think they called him the Ladies Man. Looked like there was SOMEONE ELSE who was getting close to a certain lady. Eyebrow wiggling, indeed.
The urge to smirk was overwhelming but Whitty, being the slick fifteen year old that he was, managed to keep the smirk at bay. "Nice to meet you too, Josie. And nice of you to join in, too." Oh this was going to be FUN. The teasing, the eyebrow wiggling if Josie was around a certain Slytherin that wasn't here. MAN, it was going to be too good of an opportunity to pass up. And of course Simon didn't tell him. 'Course not.
The talk had turned to one about heat charms and throwing snowballs sooooo blue eyes landed on Flammy-o. "Yeah!" he said, looking back at Josie, "He'll be okay with it, I bet, as long as we don't hit that suit of his. Probably even take part, too." Besides, it was FUN.
"
A beach would be wonderful. You should come to Australia sometime and hang out," said Simon giving Grayson a nod. The two of them could hit up the beach, sweet talk some girls (or well Grayson sweet-talking and Simon standing there awkwardly), and play cricket. He was fluent in both languages?! No wonder Grayson was such a ladies man, he could speak french, the language of love. He could practically woo all the ladies with a single wave of the eyebrows and french words. "
Sure, it'd be practical..." he said. However, he wondered if Grayson would have been teaching Newell this stuff. "
Have you tried teaching Newell? She seems good at languages. "
He bit his lip. "
Only this one.. I haven't tried any others.. yet," he explained shrugging his shoulders. It wasn't a big deal to Simon. The only thing that mattered to him was getting the spell to work. "
It takes practice." Simon chuckled at Whitty's next comments. Yes, yes, try not to get hit. "
I won't. Don't worry. You've got yourself covered so you won't get hit," he said. Yes, Whitty was too cool to get hit by a snowball.
Turning to sweet Josette, Simon nodded, giving her a nice grin. He had to make sure that he kept Ethan on her good side but the boy didn't really see a need to do that. It was obvious that Ethan had feelings for her and he had sort of a hunch that Josie may have some sort of feelings back for his friend because he didn't know how else to justify the blushing. Maybe Josette was just one of those people who's cheeks turned bright red in any weather?
He nodded his head really quickly. "
Why of course! The activity is Flamsteed Approved anyway so why not?" he said, winking at the sweet Ravenclaw. Then Simon eyed their wall. "
We should probably build this up a bit more before firing at him cause he could probably tear it down with one spell at the moment."
