It was hard not to approach the hippogriff too eagerly now that Mo had his bow, and he had to moderate his steps as he closed the distance. One step. Two steps. Three steps. And one tentative hand out to rest on the feathered ridge above the creature's eyes.

Beautiful creature, and fearsome. This was a perfect moment.

"I'm Mo. You're fantastic, do you know? I bet you know. I'm sorry you're stuck inside, though, because it's terrible outside but it's hard to crammed all indoors. You're an outdoor guy, I can tell."
