Mo could charm needles? "I didn't know that was possible but it's wicked. Wonder if he'd teach us that before he graduates." The small brunette tapped her chin, a thoughtful expression on her face. S'not like she WANTED to knit or anything but she COULDN'T do it now and the fact that someone else COULD made her want to learn TOO. It just wasn't fair that HER buddy was a seventh year. He had ALL of this knowledge and there wasn't nearly enough time for him to pass it on to her. Shame, really.
Taking the pot warmer, Maddie smiled a little and turned it over in her hands. "S'not pretty but it's really warm. I reckon that's the important part." She doubted plants were concerned with looking CUTE so this was perfect. The twelve year old carefully picked up the Alder and slipped the pot holder over the pot, adjusting it slightly before setting the whole thing back on the sill.
"Do you think it needs anything else? The book on Bonsai plants said they lose their leaves when they're do...DORMANT. Yeah, that. That means they don't need extra sunlight or anything."
