Zander nodded as Ben agreed. At least they were both kind of apprehensive right? That was always good. It'd be way better than having to duel someone like Sophie who seemed to be experienced in all things smart and Ravenclaw. Besides, this would hopefully be a fair battle since they were basically on an even playing field. Except for the fact that this would be Zander's first official duel with an actual person.. As dummies didn't tend to fight back.

Was Ben giving him a choice? Uh. But-but that wouldn't be fair if he went first and since the other Gryffindor was his friend, it just didn't seem right of him. If it had been someone else, then maybe. But either way the Gryffindor wouldn't want to win on account of being told to go first. No. He had to win fair and square... if he won at all. "Okay, I say we count down from ten," he nodded feeling a little calmer as time went on. It was now or never.
