Halfway through the process, Simon took a peek at his mate's work and his eyes widened when he realized how accurate and precise Ethan was being. Man, he was making Simon's estimations look really bad! The Slytherin boy even pulled a ruler out of his book bag to see how far they little globs of mixture were apart from each other. His eyes widened when he read that they were exactly two inches apart. "Merlin, you're really good at this, Ethan. Being accurate," he slipped the ruler back into his bag and then eyed the next step.

OVEN time.

Once the batter was on the cookie sheet, Simon popped the tray into the oven and set a timer. "Alright, now we wait fifteen minutes!"

Caaaaaaarefully placing the last tablespoonful of batter onto the baking sheet with his tongue sticking out, Ethan pumped his fist in the air as he successfully accomplished his task. Right there, ladies and gentlemen, and elves are perfectly spaced cookie batter up until the last decimal point. You see, instructions are important, yeah? Ethan pulled a Sherlock and popped up his collar for full effect, crossed his arms and gave his Watson an arrogant nod. “Of course. No one else in this room can do it.” Hehehehe.

Ethan watched as Simon placed the baking sheet inside the oven. Fifteen minutes, yeah? “So…where was I…oh yes…about that…” the blond boy scooted closer to his best friend and continued to fill him in about what transpired during their hunt for runes with the Runes Master. He even discussed how the device felt in his hands.

“I felt like a real detective. It was pretty awesome…” Ethan would love to continue his story, but it seems that their cookies are ready! “I think that’s golden brown enough, yeah?” The boy took the liberty to don a pair of thick mittens, and got the tray out of the oven. “It saaaaays here that we place the parchment in the middle and fold the cookie over.” The blond snake got his reduced parchments, and handed Simon his parchments. “Here goes nothing…”
