Separating the yolks from the egg whites, measuring the flour like a pro…Ethan can go on and on and on about how fantastic his Watson is. Ethan would open his mouth to say something, such as offering his help, but Simon was too fast with all of the preparation and mixing. The blond boy just decided to shut his mouth and observe.
Uh huh.
He can do that too you know. Maybe in the next 100 years?
Then a tablespoon was handed to him. Right. Placing the batter onto the baking sheet. He can do that, mhm. Scooping out the sticky stuff from the bowl, Ethan then placed it on the tray carefully. He didn’t want to upset his best friend by doing a sloppy job, yeah?
“Two inches apart. Got it.” If you actually want a precise partner, Ethan’s the man for the job.
Two freaking inches.
Simon laughed a little as Ethan began to explain to the rest of the class why he had been dubbed 'The Chef'. Not only was the nickname accurate, it just sounded really, really awesome. The boy beamed. "
Alright, Sherlock, let's see..." he said when he began scooping up the batter and placing it on the cookie sheet. Soon enough, Ethan jonied him.
Halfway through the process, Simon took a peek at his mate's work and his eyes widened when he realized how accurate and precise Ethan was being. Man, he was making Simon's estimations look really bad! The Slytherin boy even pulled a ruler out of his book bag to see how far they little globs of mixture were apart from each other. His eyes widened when he read that they were exactly two inches apart. "
Merlin, you're really good at this, Ethan. Being accurate," he slipped the ruler back into his bag and then eyed the next step.
OVEN time.
Once the batter was on the cookie sheet, Simon popped the tray into the oven and set a timer. "
Alright, now we wait fifteen minutes!"
