It was making her hide a lot more than anything else, staying huddled close to the fire in the common room or under a pile of blankets in her dorm room. “I’m sure they are. Maybe we can find more if it ever gets warmer,” she replied with a smile. More accurately, she could find more potential frog adopters later. It wouldn’t hurt if they got a month or two older before she found someone to take them. She was still hoping tht the cold would be gone by the end of term, anyway.

“Exactly,” she added with a laugh. “I’d hate to think we’ll be cut off for too much longer.” No matter how much she knew she’d miss Hogwarts after the term was over and she’d graduated, she didn’t want to still be snowed in once June started. She certainly didn’t want to be stuck here over the summer. “Even if he didn’t, these frogs hardly take up any space at all so it shouldn’t be a problem.” It would still be up to Alec if he wanted to adopt any, though, and that meant they needed contact with the outside world. Desperately. She wanted to check on her aunt and cousins, and to talk to her friends outside of Hogwarts.

For now, she wanted to make sure that Tag wasn’t too worried about his new frog. The idea of conferring with the professors to get more information seemed to work, too. Tree frogs weren’t exactly magical, but she still thought that Professor Thompson might be able to help if the Gryffindor needed it. She knew she wasn’t an expert, anyway. “I think you’ll be okay. The warmth thing isn’t a problem,” she said with another laugh. “Not when I think everyone in the castle is becoming experts in heating charms and any other ways of keeping warm.”

Her green eyes had flickered down to his box as he’d glanced down, not startled at all by his question. Maybe they should have gotten into those details before he’d picked the one he wanted. “Honestly? I haven’t really looked at them all that closely but I don’t think they’re all one or the other. But females are a tiny bit larger than the male frogs, if that helps any.” But then, all of the frogs were still tiny, tinier than they’d be when full-grown like Marius and Cosette were, so maybe that didn’t help much. She didn’t know if the size thing applied to young frogs, but either way, she knew he’d come up with a good name.
Tag nodded at Lily's words at which he had to say "Hopefully it does get warmer." Though, at this moment, that was everyone's thoughts here at Hogwarts. He was sick of being stuck inside. The boy wanted some real fresh air, not just 'fresh air' from the corridor. "At least we're all doing little things to try and keep warm." He added agreeing to her point.

Being cut off from things was pretty bad to say the least. Tag had never been one to send owls or things like that out of Hogwarts. But, the castle couldn't even send messages to the world for some help or ideas that could get them out of this predicament. "No problem at all with these tiny little animals." Tag said smiling. At least not at Hogwarts. For him, and his new frog, his house might be something different.

Ironically enough, as Lily had said, the warmth wouldn't be too much of a trouble for the frogs. Each common room and dorm was probably heated up a good decent amount. "Definitely. The frogs are being heated by the cold air we're being forced to deal with. Lucky for them, not so lucky for us." Tag said, shaking his head momentarily.

So females were bigger and males were smaller in size. The blonde made sure to keep that in mind when he got back to his dorm. He wouldn't be checking out here because, even with the charmed matchbox, the corridor would still be cold frigid air for the frog. "I'll check the frogs out when I get back to my common room, cause its still quite cold here. But I'll make sure to keep your words in mind when checking it out. If I still can't figure it out, I'll probably do some quick researching. There's nothing worse than naming your pet wrongly." They could become very judgemental about that.
