Alexa reached for the bowl across the table and slid it to Cassia then watched the girl carefully add the ingredients. Left to her own devices, Lex might have just thrown everything in and hoped that it worked out in the end no matter how it would look at the time. "He's alright I suppose. Feeling more confined than even me--if that's possible. Usually he gets some time on the grounds but now it's nothing but the Common Room or the corridors when I take him with me. "Wish the owls had stayed. How else are we gonna know how Mikey's treating Venom." After all these years she still didn't think the boy was very competent so yes, she had to ask.
Oh hey she was done adding. "I can mix." She offered, taking the bowl and the wooden spoon thing--this was what they were meant to use yes?
Mix. Mix. Mix. Nothing to it. "Lemme know when this looks smooth enough."
She took her time adding and counting off all the ingredients. And once she was finished she checked the list again making sure she had not forgotten anything. All while listening to Lex and nodding. Yes, she could multitask when the tasks were chatting and baking. She had hidden talents, obviously.

Poor thing," She said referring to the kneazle of course. She somehow was glad that she had not brought any of her kittens to Hogwarts like she wanted. They wouldn't have survived, they were better off back at home. A smile tugged at her lips at the mention of Venom. Because she missed the spider and the way Lex always questioned and became suspicious of her brother. "
I'm sure he's doing well, he has been doing so for a while," She knew her brother wouldn't hurt the creature or neglect it just to tease Lex.

And I hope my owl will never come back," she grinned sliding the bowl over to Lex. "
Maybe it's time Snaty got lost or eaten or something," Who cared, she just didn't want to see the creature. Something she's been trying to do for a while.
The snake watched her bestie mix the bowl's contents. At some point she reached over and re-positioned Lex's hands for a better performance but the Gryffindor was doing a wonderful job. Meanwhile, the snake retrieved the cookie sheet and placed it on the countertop. "
I think it's good now," She said sticking her finger in the dough.
Sliding the bowl closer to her she retrieved a clean spoon then started placing batter on the sheet slowly. She didn't want to miss up or make them too close to each other. Lex could help if she felt like it.

Ingredients- 2 eggs (whites only), use the yolks for something else
- 1/2 tsp. (2.2g) of vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp. (2.2g) of almond extract
- 3 tbsp. (41g) of vegetable oil
- 8 tbsp. (62.5g) of flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. (4g) of cornstarch
- 1/4 tsp. (1.5g) of salt
- 8 tbsp. (100g) of sugar
- 3 tsp. (15g) of water
Steps
1.Make fortunes, use the shrinking charm reducio to make the parchment small enough to fit into the cookie.
2.Using your wand heat preheat the oven.
3.Combine all the ingredients and mix well until dough is smooth.
4.Place tablespoons of batter onto a cookie sheet, space them around 2inches apart.
5.Bake for fifteen minutes or until golden brown.
6.Remove cookie and place parchment in the middle, fold the cookie over.
7.Form into fortune cookie shape.
8.Place cookies into a muffin tin to hold their shape. Let cool for ten minutes.
9.Decorate if you like.
