He was, of course, basing his assumption based on what he had observed in class; her focus and driven nature. "Stellar," he grinned, not noticing the blushing. Not that noticing it would have mattered anyway.
Nothing? NOTHING. Sweet solstice he hadn't taken Miss Wisteria to be the modest sort when it came to her achievements. How incredibly Hufflepuff of her. Heh.
Ah yes, Mr. Gunter's drawing. The one that had briefly made him feel a little subconscious about the size of his forehead. He had since been convinced otherwise, however. So he simply chuckled at Miss Wisteria's comment and nodded some more. "Over the sofa is perfect. That way I can always admire it from my desk. I'll just move my Rorschach test artwork elsewhere." He was going to need more wall space in his office soon...or perhaps just be more selective with what he put up so as to avoid a cluttered appearance.
Wand out, he levitated the framed artwork down to the sofa, setting them there gently, and then conjured a large frame for his gift from Miss Wisteria. A few moments later, her artwork was mounted on the wall...which he was now painstakingly adjusting by the tiniest of movements to ensure that it was straight. "Yes, that looks quite nice there," he nodded.
Now he just needed to figure out where to put these other pieces. Maybe on the wall by his tie display case. Interesting. When has Lotus placed someone else's wants before hers? Exactly. Though, there's always a first time for everything, this was her future they were talking about, and she deserved the best. No sorting hats to mess things up this time around. Focused and driven, that's right. But now there are plenty of things to consider, too, Flamsteed.
ZOMG! His next words! The sofa wall was indeed THE BEST one so far, because he could see it whenever. Talk about favorites and constant reminders. So as long as he doesn't decide to move it later on, then everything was okay. So, she smiled again, and nodded, "Seems like the perfect place, then." Perfect place was perfect.
She watched, quietly, as she sipped the remainder of her tea, if there was any left by now. Once it was placed on the wall the sixth year nodded in agreement. "It looks brilliant up there." Almost as if it was meant to be there all along. And it was relatively away from Oakey's, too. WIN-WIN. "Thank you, for everything, Professor," she said, after a few moments of admiring her own work, "You've been of great help. Always." Cue sweet smile. From day one, yo! But now it was time to leave, yes? Probably, yes. "Let me know about those home school courses once you're able to get in touch, yes?" Important, it was. |
