And here was the part she dreaded the most. Having to actually make the cookies. When it wasn't a daunting place, the kitchen was a tedious one. There was no winning for the Gryffindor and thus no joy to be had in the kitchen but she didn't grumble about it because Professor Smiles might hear the tail end of it and wanna know what she was on about. Nothing she'd be willing to share, that's for sure.

Being so active it would have been hard taking sips every time she found she had something to say but this class couldn't last forever. Lex wouldn't be stuck cooking for too long. Even the thought was a distasteful one.

First order of business as she decided would be the gather up the ingredients together at her work station. Most of it was already there or within close enough reach. Anything that wasn't she swiped when the next guy wasn't looking. All this so she wouldn't actually have to move.

Ingredients
• 2 eggs (whites only), use the yolks for something else

1/2 tsp. (2.2g) of vanilla extract

1/2 tsp. (2.2g) of almond extract

3 tbsp. (41g) of vegetable oil

8 tbsp. (62.5g) of flour

1 1/2 tsp. (4g) of cornstarch

1/4 tsp. (1.5g) of salt

8 tbsp. (100g) of sugar

3 tsp. (15g) of water
Steps

1. Make fortunes, use the shrinking charm reducio to make the parchment small enough to fit into the cookie.
2. Using your wand heat preheat the oven.
3. Combine all the ingredients and mix well until dough is smooth.
4. Place tablespoons of batter onto a cookie sheet, space them around 2 inches apart.
5. Bake for fifteen minutes or until golden brown.
6. Remove cookie and place parchment in the middle, fold the cookie over.
7. Form into fortune cookie shape.
8. Place cookies into a muffin tin to hold their shape. Let cool for ten minutes.
9. Decorate if you like.
