So it WORKED. "I did it!" Did he get a sticker or something?

Kyroh would give him a sticker.
Look at that, kid got it right away. GOOD. That would save on a lot of time. They had this whole place to clean and she didn't think she'd have all day to teach him something as simple as changing the colour of a wall. Basic charms stuff right there. "You did do it, now do it again over there. You can help Schuyler with the walls," because she had noticed the other Gryffindor arrive, HI, "then you can start on the glitter vacuuming with the rest of us."

Easy enough, yes?

She gave him a final, kinda like a 'get to it' before turning back to Aubrey who she'd be helping with the vacuuming.

WOHOO! One couch done and... the rest of the room to go. Great.
It'd never occured to her until Zander did it that polishing would have added a nice touch to everything, giving it all a much cleaner look. "Nice thinking." She said, grinning over at the younger Gryffindor who was working at getting this place in tip top shape. "I'm sure Professor Airey will be through the moon when he sees it." Something that shiny, she didn't see how he wouldn't notice and be happier for it.

SPOILER!!: Aubrey

A prank was a prank though, and this was a good one. If it really was a prank. How did we know for sure that Airey didn't like it? He seemed like the type. Oh well. It wasn't her place to judge or investigate. She was here to her her prefect, and that was it. Lions stuck together.

"I sorta saw what he did." Meaning that she heard him, and caught the wand movement out of the corner of her eye, but that was about the extent of it. Oh, but Lex was going to go over it with her. What a helpful prefect she was. The girl was downright cool. Vacavus. she repeated, and watched the demonstration. "Thanks. I'll try now."

"Vacavus." Nothing happened. Not again, and not right in front of Lex. "Vacavus." The glitter lifted, but all she managed to do was spread it out either further. Could she make this worse? 'Vacavus!" This time it worked, she watched as the glitter lifted. "Wicked." She was totally going to be helpful now. Airey was going to have the most glitter/pink free office there is.

"That's probably one of the reasons I like you." Lex confirmed with a solemn nod. The Prefect liked ANYONE with a strong aversion to pink and Aubrey was displaying such behaviour right now so what was not to love? "Shouldn't be too much longer before the eye sore is gone. Dima and Schuyler already took out a wall each so we're almost covered." And thank Merlin too. How Airey sat in his office knowing this was what it all looked like was beyond her.

Aubrey's attempts were nothing if not a little feeble at first but Lex only gave her encouraging looks until finally the glitter started lifting like it did for everyone else that was vacuuming. "Knew you could do it. Think you can handle this couch while I tackle that one?"

They would need to spread out if they didn't want to be here all day and so she inched over to the other couch. "Vacavus." If Aubrey needed her, she'd call.
