Never know when they'll come by again and attack you." It was true. They were both dressed in Slytherin colours so that meant that they would eventually get covered in butterflies.
"My thoughts exactly. Why can't we morph the whole school into something like this?" he agreed. Smiling at her, he nodded again as she spoke about Quidditch. "Oh really? Well that makes sense. Playing on your own free time is fun though I've never played Quidditch before." He wasn't really the sporty type and he hadn't even watched a game of it. He had heard about how it was played but still he had never seen it. Maybe one day he'd go to the Quidditch World Cup and watch it. That'd be awesome!
He nodded. "He does," he said with a slight smirk. He wasn't going to let the whole teasing Sophie about Mr. Grayson. It was too fun. He nodded. "Yeah, its something that good friends do, right?" he said. He didn't even know if Grayson played Quidditch but it was still worth a shot. Then all of a sudden, he paused and decided to let go of teasing Sophie about it. He'd be nice... for once. "Grayson's a cool mate." He nodded. Yep.
Sophie smirked when Simon thanked her for the butterfly net. She could tell he was less than amused, but who could blame him? She sort of got the feeling that neither one of them was really all that interested in catching the butterflies.
"Well, Slytherin is pretty awesome, so who can really blame the butterflies for being attracted to that scarf?" she jokingly replied. There weren't any butterflies around at the moment, so she turned her attention to the scenery around her. It really made her miss the warmer weather...
"You've never played Quidditch before?" she asked, her eyes widening a little.
"I thought everybody had played Quidditch at least once." She had always had the impression that when kids got to be a certain age, their parents
always introduced them to a game of Quidditch.
Nevermind that, though. They were back to talking about Grayson, which drew in all of Sophie's attention.
"Yeah. Good friends," she said, nodding. She had a crush on Grayson, which she was sure Simon had picked up on. A part of her kind of wished she and Grayson were more than just 'good friends', but she'd never say that aloud. She shifted her weight from one foot to the other, suddenly nervous.
Looking around, she noted where things looked like they were wrapping up, so she guessed the event would be over soon.
"Well, have fun catching the butterflies," she said with a grin.
"Or protecting yourself from them." Heh.
"I think I'm going to head out a little early. I'll see ya around." Then with that, she headed off.
