But before he could really take a good gander at the 'mysterious' mass, it had schoomed out of view behind the corner.
Slowly, but with exaggerated steps that made soft THUD THUD sounds as he move, he walked towards the corner. He was rather good at playing hide-and-seek, just so you know. Although this was hardly a challenge. "No need to tremble like a Tribble, Miss Brown," he chuckled as he continued his approach with the note still in his hand. He was assuming that was who was hiding over here. Process of elimination and deductive reasoning dictated as much. "Seems rather odd to try and hide from someone wanting to say thank you, don't you think?" ...Tremble like a Tribble? Sophie snorted at that, thoroughly blowing her cover and peeking back around the corner at the approaching professor to give him a playfully baffled sort of look. "Superb word choice there." He always had a unique way with words, didn't he?
She rounded the corner properly to meet him halfway - she appeared a bit uncharacteristically bashful, though, and pressed her lips together in an embarrassed smile, eyes flickering briefly to the parchment in his hands. "Y'don't have to thank me, though. S'just... I thought people probably don't tell you what you deserve to hear often enough, so I tried puttin' it in word form on behalf of everyone." So really, if he wanted to thank someone, he should be thanking everyone, see? It wasn't just her own thoughts. "I've heard plenty of people say those things. Just felt like someone needed to relay them onto you."
For someone who was normally quite cool when it came to charming professors, she was already certain this was an unusually awkward interaction. She didn't want him to have to say anything, she just wanted him to have known the truth and boost his ego a bit.
And now he thought she was just some silly student, trembling like a Tribble.
...What in Merlin's beard was a Tribble?
