IT. WAS. ON. Unfortunately for that Slytherin Cutty, who was usually not all that annoying for a Slytherin, Zahra was REALLY GOOD at catching things in her mouth. Years of practice with Toussaint.
"OH SNAP!" Zahra yelled, or tried to. When you had a fortune cookie clenched in your teeth, there was only so much articulation you could do. She BIT DOWN and CRUNCHED CRUNCHED CRUNCHED the cookie. ....it had something funny about it going on, texture... but that didn't stop Zahra from saying, "HOPE YOU HAVE FUN CLEANING CRYSTAL BALLS!" Chew chew.... OH! RIGHT! PAPER! in the cookie! HAHA! Zahra had already chewed it to an unrecognizable mess, so she just went ahead swallowed.
Zahra felt like she ate a hairball, so yeahhhhh "YO. Me. Refill, please! And how about some marshmallows, too?"
It was too bad she only got one cookie thrown at her though. Professor Snappy had a whole big bucket of them. Why not share?
As for Professor...Merlin, what was her name again? ... her question.. "....uhm......" her first thought was..."What if... you EAT the fortune paper, right... and when you poop out the paper, it's got a tailor-made fortune on it. I mean 'cause then the paper would have FIRST hand knowledge of what you were made of. YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT and all that. It'd just need some charms or whatnot and junk," so yeah,that was bloody brilliant. Throw this Lioness another cookie, she was ACING some Diviniation. WHO KNEW SHE HAD THE EYE? Haha!
Studenties wanted more hot chocolate and Pips was going to show he was a good elf. Yes Pips was a good elf. Hurrying along he moved towards the loud studentie first, "Hot chocolate missus" Pouring her more . Pips jumped a bit at her question and nodded eagerly "Pips gets marshmallows, Pips is a good elf"

He moved quickly and found the tiny marshmallows and brought them back to the studentie.

Sweet Merlin someone tell her the woman did NOT just say they'd be baking. This WAS Muggle Studies all over again except with no Lottie to do the work for her. Yeah...no, she didn't know how to make those things. This wouldn't end well.

But ooh hot chocolate? Zander watched as the hiccuping elf made his way around the room. As the elf came around his table the Gryffindor waved his hand at him. "I'd like another please!" Poor house elves doing so much work. And the other one was just cleaning up in the middle of the room. The third year sent a smile towards him because wow, they were pretty hard workers, those elves.
The studenties were all so nice saying please. "Missus and Masters all saying please to Pips, Pips is a good elf" He poured the cup of hot chocolate before moving quickly to another studentie.

The moment was short-lived when he heard the sound of the house elf's question. More hot chocolate? "Yeah, some for me too," Pause. "Please?" Because he had manners somewhere deep deep down inside him and he was told that if you needed something from someone, manners worked well. And charm. Two very important things.
What Grayson was taking from this discussion was that fortune cookies weren't that accurate. They didn't read your birth chart or Astrology sign or whatever so they knew absolutely zilch about you. And fate? That was still a bit wholly, wasn't it? Fate. He didn't care much for it, or knew too much about it, sooooo the fifteen year old shrugged it off.
As for the question, he was going to go with what Simon had said because it was SMART. "I agree with what Simon said. A spell would be dead useful for something like this. It'd be individual to you, yeah? Maybe THAT's why you have to take a bite of the fortune cookie first." Or touch the piece of paper inside and then wait a couple of seconds for your fortune to generate?
Whatever. He agreed.
