But yeah! She was chanting. He listened to the galdr a bit, trying to get it in his mind along with the incantation, hold them both together so to speak.
He was going to go with the most common disillusionment spell, disillusiona as opposed to disillusio.
He focused on Beverly... figuring why not cast on her since she was the one saying the galdr.
"Disillusiona!"
He tapped her on the head with his wand, knowing from experience that it felt oddly like a raw egg being broken over you when it worked.
So now to see if it worked better or anything....
She's...she's what? Beverly waited for West to continue, but apparently not. It was all right, though, she could finish it off in her head. Anyway...magic was happening. Expectant eyes on West she watched his every movement, yet, it still didn't prepare her for what happened next...
O______________________O
She flinched and her chant cut off abruptly. Her head cracked. Or something cracked on it. He'd better not have broken her skull or she'd have strong words for him.
Ohhh...he cast on her. Blink. Blink. Blink.
Glancing down at herself Beverly grinned. Steadily she blended in with her surroundings. IT WORKED. Did West Odessa see THIS? She was invisible--of course, he couldn't see her.
Suddenly feeling sneaky as a mouse and a little brave, Beverly quietly tip-toed around him and tapped him on the back of his shoulder.
Hi. It worked!
Now...could he tell if it worked better than a normally cast Disillusionment Charm?
