Oh my Merlin. She couldn't do it. No. But she wanted to learn. To know. But she COULDN'T. No. Bah! A part of her brain won. The part that loved to learn. Beverly hastily stood up and quickly made her way toward the older guy before anyone beat her to him, and lightly poked him on the shoulder.
"Hi." Good start. Shy, but good. "I-I'm assuming you know the Disillusionment Charm because you suggested it and--" she was talking fast, slow down! "-- would you be my partner?"
Her face was red.
Oh look it was that little Beverly girl. He eyed his shoulder where she'd poked it for a second and then gave her a cheerful smile.
"Yeah I do. I know a couple of 'em actually." Nod. Lots of law enforcement types in his family.
"Sure I will. I'd rather partner with a Slytherin anyways." Who wouldn't though, lets be honest. He took a guess:
"You wanna learn it and see how it might be better with the rune?" He didn't mind. Really.
