As she navigated her way around the leaves, she tried to decide on agood place to stand.
Seeing Professor Romanos in the back of the room, Jasmine said, "Hello Professor". Picking a random wall, she leaned against it and waited for her classmates to arrive. Hopefully, the Professor would explain things to them soon. "Good morning." she smiled, pulling a pair of gloves out of her pocket to slip them on. It was chilly, but goodness, at least it wasn't like the dueling arena. Quote:

Because Grayson had headed over towards the Duelling Arena, as per usual, only to find that no one was in there. He had almost decided to pay Romanos a visit to ask her when he remembered reading something about a classroom 1C in the notice board in the Common Room. SO. He came here. To this classroom 1C. Which was on the opposite side of Duelling Arena.
Thanks for all that unnecessary bit of exercise.
And this classroom was WEIRD. There weren't any desks or mats, which made the fifteen year old pause at the door and furrow his eyebrows. Instead, there were leaves on the floor. Freaking LEAVES. They almost looked unnatural, both because they were in a classroom and because the Slytherin couldn't remember the last time he had seen them before. Thanks snow.
Shrugging, Grayson made his way into the classroom, his feet crunching on some of the leaves. "Hey Professor!" And he stood. In the middle of the classroom. With his hands in his pockets and his bag hanging off of his right shoulder. Because there really wasn't anything else to do. Ahh gloves. That was better.
"Good morning, Mister Whitlock." Quote:

Confused, Lux stepped inside the incredibly bare classroom and blinked. The only thing she could see were the leaves on the floor. And people too, of course. "Hello, Professor Romanos. Jasmine. Grayson." A weak smile on her face, she waited for the lesson to begin. Hopefully things would be explained, because she was very confused. "Gooood morning." she smiled towards the Hufflepuff with a little nod.
That look of confusion hadn't gone unnoticed. Quote:

Right. West skirted the room, avoiding the leaves as best as possible, and found a patchof wall to lean against.
"Good day professor."
Leaf yoga was probably going to be a thing. Of course, the first seventh year to walk in was West. Naturally. The term was coming towards it's end and even with the tense atmosphere from the dementor incident, she would still miss the Slytherin after the year ended. "Good morning, Mister Odessa." Quote:

Though with Nigel, Option One usually wins out and it did. "Hello, Professor" Nigel said before he flopped onto the floor and started making leaf angels. Or starfishing. Whichever is easier for you to understand. He did not care about the other people in the room. They could watch him be awesome standing waiting for Romanos to give instructions.
Nigel was starfishing and not really caring if anything was in the leaves or not. Ahh, naturally, another parting seventh year. But......Oooh?
"Save some for the rest of your classmates, Mister Barrington." Teehee. Not that it was an issue.
There were plenty of leaves to go around. Quote:

Really, now what were the meaning of the little mess makers being in here?
She just rolled her eyes slightly and stayed away from them, she wasn't going to lose house points for going near somewhere she shouldn't have. She leaned against the back wall and looked around again. Why do this? This room was just strange and honestly, it felt cramped to her, maybe she chose the wrong day to come down from her bed. She just sighed again and frowned, could they get this class over with already? The quiet ones, she noticed. Most of the time.
Though with Nigel creating leaf angels, there was a bit of delay in greeting the Hufflepuff with her usual welcoming smile. Quote:

Nigel, the master of weirdness, was lying on the floor moving his legs and arms as if he were doing snowangels. In this case, leaf angels. It was impressive how the strange Ravenclaw had the ability to come up with bigger nonsense than Agatha could imagine.
The third year rolled her eyes exaggeratedly and shook her head as she walked as further away as possible from the freak. "Hi, professor." She finally greeted the woman, giving her a polite nod before going back to judging STARING at Nigel. "Helloooooo." she smiled, sliding her hands into the pockets of her coat. Brr. Quote:

NOT TO MENTION that she was brought up with those 'Chort' things too in the research meeting. Most definitely evil. And that's that. He casually walked past Romanos and nervously greeted her, "Uh...H-hello Professor...." He knows what you are Romanos. He knows.
After all this evidence against the woman, how was he not supposed to look all skeptical upon entering the room. It was all first year knowledge. When you have evidence and stuff, it's true. 100%. She was bad news, she really was.
Also, could someone explain this new classroom? There was no way this place existed before. Nope. He would not believe it. And he leaves. DID THEY COME FROM OUTSIDE?! OH MERLIN, this was probably where she was planning on keeping them for the Cold Ones attack! She was going to keep them all here TO DIE and to get their hearts frozen!! Nooooo, Romanos spare him PLEASE he likes his heart!! See, he would've just skipped out on class all together because he KNEW who this woman was. Buuuut he couldn't let all his classmates die! He had to save them! So instead the third year ran over to strategically take a seat by the--- THERE WERE NO WINDOWS?!
Now it was really time to freak out. O___o Odd behavior was odd.
Her eyebrows raised just a smudge, unsure whether to be amused or concerned. Was that a stutter in Zander's voice? She didn't particularly remember there being one from before. "Good day." she greeted with her usual warmth, smile turning a little more sly. Lighten the mood a bit. "I hope the cold isn't getting to you too much."
May just need an excuse to roast marshmallows or something. Quote:

No surprises really, after a while you sort of go used to the unorthodox teaching spaces.
No desks though, so Toby just wandered on into the room, fighting the urge to kick gleefully and childishly at the piles of leaves all around. Instead of that, he grinned over at Romanos and gave her a wave and a beaming grin. "Hi Professor Romanos!" Hi. Hiiiiiiiiiiii.
Just why was he so happy and upbeat? Merlin only knew. Oh my. "Zdrasti, Mister Tempus!" Happiest greeting she'd received as of yet today! Quote:

"Hello professor," she said as she walked into the room, enjoying the satisfying crunch of a few leaves beneath her feet. She wanted to run around to them all but restrained herself. She decided to stand near the middle of the room, seeing as there were no desks, but she eyed the leaves. "Can we make a leaf pile and jump in it?" Pleeeease? Leaning against the wall behind her, her gaze shifted to Hayden, unable to contain her smile from growing. "If you vish." she replied, crossing a foot over the other. "Ve haff a little time before the lesson. Be careful though." Quote:

So he didn't notice at first the leaves on the floor, he just walked right in - until a few crunched under his shoes. AUTUMN LEAVES?
Oh how perfect! "Hello Professor," he grinned. "Hellooo, Mister Wallace." Wallace. What a wonderful last name to say. Just rolled off the tongue. Quote:

And, leaves?
The boy was careful not to step on any of it, instead he watched where he was going, and got himself a spot at the back. Looking up front, he saw the professor. "Good day, professor." No cheery greeting for now. Not in this classroom. ... The leaves didn't biiite.
"Good morning." she greeted in return, smile as pleasant as ever. Ahem. Someone didn't wake up on the wrong side of the bed did they? |
