A list... Oh. "I write lists too!" Not of homework and things. Actually she wrote lists of guys and things. Attractive lists. Leg lists. Other lists. Yes to lists! But if he had lost it then she was going to help. Or try to. She was kinda over the laces thing now that she'd witness the death of his books. Sort of.
Leaning over the side of the table, Els peeked properly and made sure to prop herself off so she didn't fall off the table and snap her neck or something also as sad. "Nope.... I think the blood is rushing to my head though..." Darn.
Toby nodded right back in turn, looking up and pausing his search for the piece of parchment in favour for looking right at the girl.
"Uh-huh, exactly!" he said, probably a little too enthusiastically than would usually make sense in this context. But she GOT it, see? It was always encouraging when people understood.
"Lessons are hardest, y'know? 'Cause my brain likes jumping to other things a lot, but I can't let it do that in a class." Was that too much detail? Maybe. But here he was, still going on. As for napping? Toby grinned and shrugged a shoulder, going back to his search.
"I don't really need to sleep that much. And I kinda need to study. Made a promise about some OWL grades."
Which, in retrospect, didn't seem the smartest idea. But it was too late to take back now, and there was still a year left before the exams. He had time.
Well, he had something in common with the older girl. Lists. Liiiiiiists. Toby liked them, if only because they helped him to feel much more organised and in control of stuff. But... she couldn't see his?
"Hmm..." Deciding that it was absolutely not on the table or in any of these books, Toby set the last one down and comically slid out of his seat and down onto the floor. He ended up spotting the parchment almost instantly, letting out an
"Aha!" of success as he grabbed at it. The fifteen year old then crawled back up to the chair, and slithered his way back into a sitting position.
"Got it!" Tobias announced again, waving the sheaf of parchment (which contained a rather long list) in front of him.
"Thanks for helping me look," he added, placing the list down and smiling.
"What's your name, by the way? I'm Toby." He'd finally get a name to match the face. Although, he might have already known her name and had forgotten................ eh. Details.
