For a second, I almost thought we weren't trapped in Hogwarts by a blizzard. It reminded me of home." The boy had grown incredibly homesick over the past few days as he was sure that his parents were probably worried sick because they hadn't received any letters from him in a while. Hopefully they'd get out of here before something bad happened, right? He dismissed the thought from his head and then focused on Sophie.
He gave her a kind smile and laughed. "Sure, I'd say that was not too bad. I'm not much of an athletic person. I'm more for studying and swimming," he added. Just imagine if you put Simon in a Quidditch match? Things would go horribly, horribly wrong. He'd probably score for the other team. "Yeah, its sad that we don't have Quidditch this year. I was looking forward to see Slytherin win."" Just because they were the best house.
"Grayson? I thought you were always with him," he said and had to restrain himself from wiggling his eyebrows suspiciously at his fellow She-Snake. Hmmm... Why on earth would Sophie be looking for Merlin? He smirked when she added the last bit. Uh huh. Sure, she was just looking for him 'just because'. Her and half the population of the school. Yes. Yes. He nodded very slowly at her. Anyway, as for her question. "Just because? Alright then....Well I did see him by the Go Kart Race but I think he may be over at the Waiting Area," he said with a friendlier smile gracing his lips. His blue eyes widened slightly when an idea popped into his head. Ooh... Smirk. "Maybe you could ask him to play Quidditch...? I don't know if he does."
Sophie glanced down at the net she'd handed Simon. "You can keep the net...or hand it to somebody else," she said.
"I only picked it up in case I got attacked by a swarm of butterflies or something." She grinned at him.
"Instead, you got attacked by them." Or, they just landed on him all at once, really.
"On second thought, maybe we should just hang on to it just in case."
When he mentioned the blizzard, Sophie looked around again.
"You know, you're right. I hadn't thought of it that way. Then...why they can't they just do something like this all over the castle?" she asked. With their luck, though, it'd start snowing all over the castle sooner or later anyway. Sophie shrugged when the talk turned to Quidditch.
"Meh. I wasn't even sure I was going to try out again. My brother and I have always been more of a 'play on our own free time' kind of person." So it was all good.
She turned toward the go-carts when Simon mentioned he saw Grayson there. Then...he might be in another area now?
"Wow. He really gets around, doesn't he?" she asked, trying to make light of the situation. Then he was suggesting Sophie ask him to go do something with her...like play Quidditch.
"Oh, uhh...yeah. Maybe. We are good friends." Yeah. Smooth it over, Sophie.
