Cackling he started dumping the snow onto their head.

He sort of liked that idea. Mo pulled her in for a brief hug, shaking her fingers off his cheeks out of protest. "You can return some of them later. We're about to test out the swing efficiency of this hammock, and I'm not patient enough for you to make any sudden trips."
THERE WAS SNOW EVERYWHERE. IN HIS HAIR, ON HIS TREE, ON HIS CAT... Mo had only just been starting to warm up, and now he was cold again. Not just cold, but shivering wet and chattering teeth. He yelped and looked around wildly for the prankster responsible.
PEEVES. "Get out of here, you menace. You ruiner!" Scooping up the snow from the floor, Mo flung it at the poltergeist, misery and melting causing the snow to slush against the walls instead. "Duh, of course I will. I'll collect them all and frame them!" Cat grinned her biggest grin at that. She would too. He shouldn't doubt her.
She still wasn't quite warm enough and no matter how many times she pinched her face, she felt like her cheeks still looked really pale and reflected the inner cold she was feeling, deep down to her bones kind of cold. She needed a fire and a snuggle. It was too bad that she didn't share a common room with her boyfriend. She definitely thought that the heating needed to be turned up a lot, and she was going to add her own charm on to Mo's when all of a sudden there was SNOW on her. Snow. Cold, COLD snow!
Cat stomped her foot and wrapped her arms around herself. "You suck, Peeves!" Luckily the crazy thing had left almost as soon as he'd appeared and Cat definitely increased the heating now because she was all freezing all over again. Brushing the snow out of her hair, Cat gave Mo a pout. "I'm cold." AGAIN! |
