He stayed back for the moment, watching her reaction...hands still wedged in his pockets. Now he wasn't moving his legs were getting a bit chilly, but he could deal with a few goosebumps. "Not sure how you could make it worse," Benjy commented, his usual zest for life dead in his voice. "It's not like we can go anywhere anyway." He looked wistfully at the shut door. Did Lex feel as trapped as he did? Possibly. She didn't seem the sort to like being stuck in one place.

"I could," Benjy replied, almost as unenthusiastically. The key word there was 'tried'. He didn't feel like trying...didn't feel like doing much at all.
