And then she left his side and he was somewhat glad to be done with pleasantries, this way he could focus his attention on what else was going on. Gosh, it had been awhile since he had seen her, even longer that Kurumi since the other young woman had been back and forth to the ministry for certain matters. However his thoughts were interrupted as the woman...Ember approached him once more.
With a drink for him.
"Oh...um...thank you," he said tentatively accepting the beverage and being polite in response to the gesture. Although he wasn't sure he would actually drink it. At least until he discretly checked it out. One had to be cautious at times just to be on the safe side. No dosing of the security please. Noticing Legend and the gesture sent his way, the auror returned it in kind. Nothing further was needed between the two of them, especially as they worked separately.
Ember repeated her first name to him as if unsure if she had said it or not before the had left and come back. He merely let it go, instead moving on to the other comment about making new friends in the ministry. "Well I'm sure you will do just that," Simon said, knowing she was outgoing enough to do so.
Ember wasn't sure how Simon was taking this. Maybe she was being really weird. Actually, she probably WAS being really weird. And he wasn't DRINKING his drink as well. It made her little face fall.
Maybe he couldn't eat or drink on the job?! Had she just done him a disservice? Taking a bite out of her sugar cookie, she siiighed. "I am sorry--you probably don't WANT to take a drink from me--but I was just letting you know that I appreciate everyone here!" she said softly, biting her lip in sudden nervousness. She needed to get back on her game. She had making so many people uncomfortable lately that she just wanted to diiiie!

SHe twirled a piece of her turquoise hair in her finger and nipped at her cookie again. "I--I'm sorry--anyways--" she just felt awkward, and her cheeks were soooo red. Well then. She just had to smile and muck through this! "You probably want to be going back to your...duties, then, hmm?"
