After the students had arrived and it was time to start class, Fuller shut the door, pointed his wand at the giant fireplace beside his desk and started a roaring fire going to hopefully help the temperature in the classroom rise.
"Good morning all," he said loudly for all to hear and cut their chatter down to a stop. "Due to the weather and the impending need to not freeze, I have altered my lesson plan to assist our current living situation a bit better." Hopefully they were okay with that, unless they really wanted to get frostbite in their sleep.
"As you all, I'm sure, have noticed, not only is it freezing outside, it's freezing inside as well. In fact, it has actually started snowing in some places of the castle." Fuller walked back over to his desk, leaning against it again and rubbing his gloved hands together to keep them warm. "Today we will be learning a simple charm that will help keep the cold outside of the castle, but first I want to discuss what you have been doing so far to keep warm. I see lots of blankets and thick coats of course, but what charms or magical items have you been using?" Just a quick discussion to get their brains on the right track.
OOC: Class has now started! If you are just arriving, just pretend your character has been here all along. Feel free to discuss!
Simon nodded as he listened to Fuller explain how it had started snowing in parts of the school. Yes, snow was happening INSIDE the school and Peeves wasn't helping. Peeves had dumped a lot of snow on Simon the other day, leaving the boy even more frigid in the freezing school. He rubbed his gloves together too, trying to keep them warm and then pulled out his notebook. Now what had he been using to keep warm? Ah! The charm that Professor Bentley told them to use on the plants. "
I've been using a Hot Air Charm. Professor Bentley taught some of us that in a workshop to use on the plants but I figured why not use it on ourselves to keep warm," explained Simon with a grin. But the charm hadn't proven to be so useful as now it only lasted for a little bit and then disappeared.
