He hadn't paid much attention to the kids ones in the past since he didn't need them, but now he was determined to not buy a substandard toy broom.
Standing around, not knowing exactly what to do, Dmitry waited for the demonstration or whatever to begin.
Adjusting his badge, Adam slung his suit jacket over the back of his chair, but didn't sit down. He looked in charge, right? People could tell he was in charge? Maybe if he put the badge on his bloody forehead instead and...
PERSON. "Morning!" Grinning brightly, he sauntered over to someone who looked a little lost. As lost as Adam himself felt, in all honesty, but he knew his confidence wasn't going to let that show. "You wanting to know more about the brooms, or looking to have a go on one?" Because he could help with that! That was, after all, what he was there for. SPOILER!!: Edward Quote:

He walked up to the lad who seemed to be running this area and asked Excuse me there. Is it possible for me to try out this invisible thing? It sounds like loads of fun!
Someone was approaching him - Adam knew this was a good sign. He looked important, he looked in charge, and he looked, most importantly, like he knew what he was doing. Which he did. Totally. He knew it had been a good idea to wear a suit and tie - even if he'd been boiling in his blazer, suited and booted definitely gave an air of importance, right? "Invisible broom? Of course - first to test it out, other than my colleagues and I!" He grinned, pushing his hair back, and led the way to the broom, running his hand over the handle. "Causes itself and its rider to be invisible in flight - as soon as you're landed for more than a minute or so, or if you dismount -" Or fall, but he wouldn't mention that, because that didn't exactly instil confidence in people -"both you and the broom become visible again, allowing yourself to find it and store easily." Adam lifted the broom from it's stand and held it out for the man to admire. SPOILER!!: Jorge & Nia Quote:

He glanced towards a broom, which was the one she was talking about? "Oh yes, very impressive." he just decided to agree. Eventually she'd probably pick up the broom she was speaking of. Or maybe that brand was the only one there. He glanced over, hell if he really knew. "Going to take it out for a test?" Maybe she'd tell him about it more. His eyes glanced towards the the brooms again, "I just don't get the concept of an invisible broom. Aren't there enough flying accidents?" In his opinion there were anyway.
How rude of him though, all this broom talk and he hadn't even introduced himself. Given a nice smile towards her, "Jorge Cristo De La Garza, by any chance would you mind giving your thoughts on today's events for an article? I work for the Daily Prophet." Just in case she didn't already know. Quote:

It's about the fans...and I'll have far more chance to try it at some other time than they will." Though, saying that, it didn't look like anyone was jumping at the chance to get on the Windsweeper right now. And he was gesturing her for her to get on it? For pictures? "Er, sure...I guess..." Who did she need to speak to in order to have a go? She did want to try it out, and her picture in the paper would keep the sponsors happy.
Whilst she tried to catch the eye of the ministry person in charge (there was one, right?), Nia considered his next words. "The invisible one? It'll never be passed for Quidditch broom...bit boring for the spectators, don't you think?" And whilst she played Quidditch for the sheer joy of it, she knew it was ALL about the fans at the end of the day. They kept her being able to do what she loved day in, day out. "It's one for personal use I should imagine, which probably makes it even more dangerous. Can you imagine how many crashes there could be if commuters started using them over London?"
Yes, Nia had a brain, and wasn't afraid to use it...unlike the typical player stereotype. Ahem.
Mariel had told him about her? Nia blushed, the hand that she had been running through her hair settling awkwardly on the back of her neck. "Nothing too bad, I hope..." Unless it was bad in a good way. Mariel and Nia had been known as the terrible twosome on the pitch as school. Constantly covered in bitemarks and bruises from trying to get one up on each other at training in readiness to take on everyone else in matches. They'd gone through a LOT of bruise paste in their dorm, though it'd definitely been worth it. Her lips curled upwards at the memory. "Nothing too awful," she winked, as he countered with basically the same. "Though I feel it's my duty as bestie to give you my own once over too." She tapped her chin lightly at that...somehow managing to keep it both playful and serious.
An interview? Nia fiddled with her bangle (old habits died hard) and considered the proposition...and its proposer...carefully. "On what?" Her forthcoming wedding?...no way. On today or other Quidditch related things, then she might...just this once. As long as Mariel got to look it over before it went to print.
"Sorry to interrupt -" Adam approached the pair, seeing the lady eager to try the new Windsweeper, by the sound of things, and them debating the safety regulations surrounding the Invisible broom. "I'm Adam Stemp, Patents Division Head here at Games and Sports. You're more than welcome to try any of the brooms - as long as you dont leave the perimeter of the stadium. And if you've got any questions, I'm more than happy to answer them." He grinned, although inside he was trying to remember players name, and who played where, because he knew he recognised this woman, but....
He should have tried harder.
"As for the safety regulations surrounding our new invisible broom, Patents are currently working out the best way to pursue the marketing of such an object. Of course, we're considering all options. Regulated airways, installing detectors on these brooms, and maybe even determining riders of these responsible for the control of their rides. That is to say that, ah - they're the ones to 'get out of the way' if they see another flyer approaching." He flashed a smile again, running a hand along his tie before continuing. "Depending on the response to them at this event - which we're hoping will be eager, I'll enter into negotiations with the Department of Magical Transportation to finalise and iron all issues out."
Phew. He... He never talked this much, unless it was about his kids. And that was only because there were eight of them, and that required a lot of talking. He was praying he'd done the department justice.
