She just needed the right angle. "I'm not going to take up much of your time, I am not a woman for that. I'm sure you know the Caerphilly Catapults, I'm the manager of them. Rebecca Maroon. How does it feel playing with all those young chasers? I feel like you are very over shadowed for your talent there." She would cut to the chaser. "We have talented chasers, but I think an older more experience chaser along with Esme Whittebrooke could really help your career as well as the Catapults." How did that sound? Everyone wanted fame to themselves so if she dangled it in front of him enough he couldn't resist her offer. That and the added pay raise she was willing to do. All Cameron wanted to do was have some water before he went to go sign autographs. That's what he did. He took a few slips of water while he tried to put a name to the face or at least a team to her face. The chaser knew she was with a team. Or at least that's where he felt he knew her from. He took another slip of water. Maybe he should finish off his water because he had a feeling that this would take a little while.
Not going to take up much of his time? He could have been doing with his water by now. Ahhhh that's it. See he knew she had something to do with a team. Catapults manager. That's it. He blinked "It's not bad. I love mentoring them." He nodded. He really did. They were good guys. Was she doing what he thought she was doing. He wasn't going to lie she made a great argument. "Well thank you Mrs. Maroon. But my agent and I will start talking off season changes. In the off season." Not that he had any intention to make any changes in the off season. He had been playing for the tornados for what? He counted in his head 13 no 14 years now. The only plans he had was to retire with the tornadoes. |
