It was a reconnaissance mission really. Outside of that single classroom and her guest appearance at Professor Cassie's footprint hunt he hadn't met Professor Glendower. He was ever-ready to judge, though on account of he was a terd-beyond-repair. Somewhere in his crazy and empathy deprived psyche, Professor Glendower probably represented something to him. Whatever the cause he seemed to have negative feelings for her. She was, for the purposes of the case as it may be, his Charity Burbage.
It was by his damnable and always undeserved luck that his finger landed upon Pisces so that he could use the opportunity to sort of bridge what he was sure would be a large gap between he and his new History of Magic professor. He would need her to think him a decent human being if he was going to survive academically for the rest of the term. But in order to increase the odds of hitting the mark rather spot on, one always benefitted from doing a bit of research.
Passing the hammocks and squishy pillows, Cutty found himself at the entrance of a room. The mirror stopped him cold for a moment and he took in the doll-like automaton reflection. His turned slowly away from wall-to-ceiling mirror and the upright caught his attention. Perhaps, he wouldn't have to interact with her at all. It was obvious to him that Professor Glendower was a lover of song. Did she play? For how long? Could she sing? How did she come to learn this? It couldn't have been an easy feat to get that instrument into the room. Surely, her passion for it must've been at play there. It was too much trouble to go through for simply the listening pleasure. That could be more easily accomplished with an old Victrola.
But how would he make a card that sang? Would it have to work something like a howler? He was sure it was possible, but he hadn't the time to research music box charms or the like. Cutty moved over to the piano bench and lifted the seat up hoping to find what he was seeking. Yes. Sheet music. He flipped through a few of them and stopped at one that appeared to be a sweet tune. Not intense enough to be exclusively about a lover, but nice enough that the receiver was at least in some form of healthy platonic affair with the writer. It would do. And so Cutty duplicated the sheet and in his turning to depart spotted the craft supply.
Perfect. He wouldn't have to head all the way back to the Slytherin Common Room now. He could simply make the card here. He wasted no time in raiding the cupboard and in his pillage gathered coloured paper and scissors and began to craft little heart shaped fishes working the musical theme into the product where he thought a textured might be useful. Though, he grew board of it's beigey shade and at several intervals changed it's colour.
