Meteorology. Radiosonde. Pressure and whatnot. It was all written in Lottie's notes the minute they were allowed to sit. Granted, she'd sat before that, so she time to write everything down.
OKAY. Weather balloon.
And they'd be using magic for this, of course. Cool. She still couldn't believe someone was actually called balloonist in the 1700s, FYI. Apparently, that was something she found incredibly interesting. But back to balloons... the spell. Eyes were on Airey the entire time when she wasn't writing, so she definitely didn't miss the spell being cast. Leaving her notes on her bag but ready to take out if needed, she chose a balloon and attached it to her wand. Slight flick of the wand, got it. Also, the spell was... Helic umtus. Got it, again.
Smiling ever so lightly and wondering when this cold weather would stop, Lottie tried her best to focus on the spell and on getting her balloon up and running. "Helic umtus," she said, holding the balloon to her wand and watching as it began to fill up slowly.
Yes, slowly was good, she didn't want the thing to blow up in her face or become a runaway balloon like plenty of others Airey was currently in possession of. Merlin. Okay, so, maybe not plenty, just two, but still. |
