Not because she thought she'd get bored and forget all about Schuyler and cheat on her or something. It wasn't even that. It was just.....she needed someone.

She needed someone there with her. Physically.

Go to Barcelona with her? By then Olly had pushed the plate away from her slightly because food wasn't happening. Even the smell of it made her feel sick. "Somewhere closer?" Her eyes were still fixed on Schuyler's blue ones, searching them, almost as if she could find an answer there. "Like where?" What difference did it make if she lived in, say, France?

"I...I don't want to move to Spain, Schuyler." They spoke Spanish there, did she know? Also it was quite hot there, especially during summer.

Even the sound of Olly's plate scooting away from her had a disheartening tone to it. Like, was there a pancake curse with them? Hogwarts kitchen jinx? It was upsetting. All of this talk.

She returned Olly's gaze but eventually her eyes fell down to her half-eaten pancake again. "I don't know.." she replied quietly. Olly's question seemed like more of an answer anyway. No. This was like.. like a bigger version of when she was leaving for Peru.

Olly closed the lid on that idea when she told her point blank that she didn't want to move to Spain. And that wasn't really something Schuyler could expect her to do. In fact, Schuyler knew she probably wouldn't be keen on the idea even before she'd suggested it. She'd suggested it anyway, obviously. She was grasping for a more appealing answer to their problem. Speaking of which..

"I haven't confirmed anything yet?" Running it past Olly was kind of going to be her last step though. Because it was getting down to the wire in terms of deadlines. "I got accepted other places? Paris? Plymouth..?" So, maybe she hadn't been completely certain of the actual university, but hey. Nothing like procrastinating when it came to big decisions. At the same time that she was busy being upset over this long distance versus no relationship business, she was also getting stressed over college things. Future things.

As much as she liked to argue that she'd be just fine in Barcelona, she knew the fact that she WASN'T fluent in Spanish would kind of affect her grades. And living in general. Yeah..

Her chest rose as she drew a deep breath. "No matter where I go to college, I don't think we'll physically be together.. as much as we're used to." To be euphemistic. Even Plymouth. Plymouth was in the UK, but even that was still relatively far. Separate.

Her opinion on the matter hadn't changed. Schuyler still wanted to try long distance. It was something, right? Not the same, but she still had Olly. Could call her her girlfriend. There were the mirrors.. But if that was going to be harder on Olly, if that would make Olly's state of mind worse than it already had been lately, then.. they wouldn't do it. Then Schuyler wouldn't want it like that.

This discussion was doing a bang up job of making her heart feel like a lead weight. Honestly.
