Not that she would have necessarily minded a bit of small talk before they began discussing the essentials, Mariel was rather appreciative of the fact that Emily was of the no-nonsense, getting right into business mindset. She really had quite a bit of work in front of her and did not have a lot of time to spend on niceties, especially when they seemed to be only for the sake of courtesy, which she was fairly certain they would be in this case. Though she was appreciative of the expressed support sentiment, acknowledging the remark with her own nod, and she was thankful of the help her department was willing to provide for her own regarding their event.

"We are looking into gradually decreasing security in that area eventually, but I'd also like to discuss what your department would be able to do in terms of security at our upcoming community event." Just to touch on further recommendation for professional Quidditch and to perhaps assign work for her employees as well.
