"Good day, Mariel," she greeted the department head, as she approached her desk. Was now a bad time? Did they need to reschedule? Emily's gaze trailed over the stack of papers. Planning events was irksome, yet another good reason why MLE wouldn't be doing the community holding hands and putting on a show thing any time soon. It was hardly their area regardless. "I haven't caught you at a bad time, have I?" she asked, helping herself to a seat opposite the woman. Ah, so she had lost track of time. Mariel glanced at the door as it opened to see Emily walk in at precisely her scheduled hour. She did appreciate the punctuality even if she hadn't realized the appointment had approached. "Emily.." she spared a small smile for the woman as she entered. "Please, have a seat." She gestured to the chairs in front of her desk though the point was moot as Emily was already in the process of sitting. Certainly nothing that she gave a second thought to as the invitation was implied once one was welcomed inside. Waiting till asked was really only customary of the most mannerly of gentlemen and even then she didn't expect it.
Setting her paperwork aside for the time being, she gave her full attention to the MLE Department Head as green eyes focused on her. "Not at all." She wasn't sure any one time would be any better than another and she'd prefer to not reschedule as that was likely to waste both of their time. "I appreciate your meeting with me today regarding this event. It's very important to our department, as I'm sure you can imagine." In light of recent events, security was essential and, as it would be a Ministry planned event, she did want to see if MLE could be utilized rather than the stadium's private group. And she'd rather the DH saw to it to have things done properly and to her satisfaction. Green eyes fell on the folder in the woman's hands, waiting on her to speak of it first unless she'd like to hear her own visions for the event which were soon forthcoming.
